Do we have an "Awesome" thread yet?

We've all seen burnouts and most of us have seen burnouts until the tire popped, but how about in slow motion? So cool! Watch as the tire splits open.

Slow motion makes everything better. "thumbsup"

Running around kicking a ball for 90 minutes for $1,000,000 beat that easy,,,, and prove how insane the world have gone.

That's the free market at work. People love to bitch about pro athlete salaries, but fail to realize that, if there was no market, then these guys wouldn't be making that kind of money (look at NBA vs WNBA salaries as an example). Obviously, the owners have plenty of money coming into the coffers so they can go out and pay these guys to try and make their franchises successful and give them a high profile. It may just be kicking/throwing/hitting a ball, but if you are in the .1% that does it better than anyone else, you are getting paid, like any other career path.

It's not that simple. You can't do what they do at their level. World class athletes are on a different level. They do things that the average human can't. They are in the handful of the best players in the world and we, the average humans, spend lots of money to watch them perform. If everybody was a pro caliber athlete the demand and, as a result, the salary wouldn't be there for them.

Even if you are not that "good" at the pro level:

NFL min salary: $450K/year

NBA min salary: $562K/year

NHL min salary: $575K/year

MLB min salary: $545/year

Even though they are not that "good" they are still miles better that that guy at the end of the bar that "played some ball" in high school.

My point is also the world have gone crazy, that some people are able to cash in on that, well thats just dandy.
The high wages and the sport ruined by rules was why i stopped watching F1, soccer or sucker as i call it never did squat for me, not least since it is a team game, and you can be O so good a sucker player, but if your team are not there you are nothing.
Also why i am into sports / achievements on the individual level.

And yes some people are indeed on another level, when i was a kid and in eastern Germany in the late 70ties, as the probably fastest member of our group of visiting Danish commies with entourage i was chosen to do a 100 M race against one of the top East german female sprinters of the day.
And i had high hopes as i was pretty darn snappy as a kid, other kids +2 years on me had no chance. :flipoff:

And that was what i had against that lady ( no chance ) and i even got a 10 M lead on her, and i was behind with more than 10 M when she crossed the line.

And i dident learn, i still fully believe that give me a race car and a tank or two of fuel to practice, and i will be just as good as any driver out there, and i stand by that until the opposite are proven.

Here's a personal awesome with no cool video or pics whatsoever...

Passed a UL audit with zero defects last week, passed an ISO audit this week with zero defects, my GS-02 just shipped and I was scheduled for jury duty next week that I just learned was canceled.
