Dlux presents the Red Rock Rumble 11/6/15 - 11/8/15

It seems like 1/2 the restaurants here are sushi these days.

If you ever come back to town and want some sushi, I will take you to my favorite place. $2 California rolls! I eat till I am stuffed and the whole family usually costs $35.

Looks like a good size town maybe some good food. Where has dlux been. :ror:

What kinda food you like?
As far as mexican food theres tons of good places from Albertos to cafe rio.
They have the standard Applebee's, chilis and such.
Wingers has good burgers and wings.
Theres a decent BBQ place down by the china buffet.
Lots to chose from really.

I will be glad to come out and do some photos and such of the comp like I did with the scale nats.
Bunch of pics of location and some of my pictures here.

Thanks. there is a great group of guys coming and hope we can all get out for dinner.

So is that where we will be then? Looks more like sandstone than redrock?
High traction but a little sluffy? Probably nowhere as sticky as Wendover?

Most of it is very sticky. There are some spots where it has a little sluff/ rocks breaking off where it gets slick.
But as long as you don't have dirt on your tires you can pull off some sick lines.

So Crystal Inn is where all the cool kids are going to hang out then?

Sure, lets do it. I will see if I can call in a bit to see if there is a chance of a "group rate". Usually it does not work out too well but its worth a shot.

Agreed. Hopefully a group dinner such as Wendover is possible. If House and Dooley learned their lesson, they wont have to sit at the kids table and can join us. :ror:

Different sticky as Wendover. Its really similar to Horsemens or Prescott. If youre not familiar with those places, its just a sticky sand stone. You will be fine with pin tires if thats what youre asking.

Yeeeehawww. Just buy your beer before you get there.

Not really my battle but... here is a excerpt taken from MillerCoors: Age Verification

"HOW IS THE ALCOHOL CONTENT IN BEER MEASURED?
Alcohol content in beer is typically measured in one of two ways: by volume (which is most common) or by weight. Using Coors as an example: A 12-ounce serving contains 5.0 percent alcohol by volume which means that of all the liquid in the container, 5.0 percent of the liquid is alcohol. The same 12-oz. serving of Coors Light is about 4.0 percent alcohol by weight, which means that of the total weight of the liquid in the container, 4.0 percent of the weight is contributed by the alcohol.

Sounds simple, but if we're talking about the exact same serving of beer, why the difference between volume and weight measurements? That's because a given volume of alcohol weighs less than the same volume of water. (An ethyl alcohol molecule, or C2H5OH, is larger than a molecule of water, or H2O, and takes up more space.) So whatever the serving size, the alcohol weight percentage will always be smaller than the volume percentage. This basic fact should help dispel any myth about 3.2 beers or so-called "near-beers" allegedly containing much less alcohol compared to regular beers. The "3.2" in 3.2 beers represents the percentage of alcohol by weight, which means that there's about 4 percent alcohol by volume in the beer. Anyone who believes that he or she cannot become intoxicated consuming 3.2 beer is just plain wrong. If you know of anyone who's a believer in the 3.2 beer "myth," do him or her a favor and share the facts.

To learn more about the alcohol content of all our beers, see our Nutrition page."

I got a great start on trophies! I am glad to say that I am usually over budget and over time by a long shot on trophies. This time I am just way over budget :D I am getting better.

Keeping my theme, I like a functional trophy so, these will be no different.

One thing that will be different this time will be how many you take home. Everybody should thank Spencer and Don for taking 99% of the trophies home last time and unless they have a ton of drivers, it was a bit pointless. LOL.

There will be 3 ways you can take one of these home.... if you take top 3, if you help judge/score I have one for you OR, if you didnt want to help or get top three, you can still help the spirit of the comp by buying one as I made plenty to take home. I would really like to give everybody who comes one of these so hopefully everybody will step up and help the comp run smoothly.

i know the trophies are going to be awesome, they were awesome for B.O.T.W,"thumbsup",so can we make reservations at the Crystal inn"thumbsup"

Looks like the cool kids might not be staying at the Crystal Inn...

I just called and they are booked full that Friday.

Waiting to hear back from more Hotels now.

Oh, I was not able to hold the rooms so its first come first serve. Since Crystal Inn was full, I assume there might be something going on in town that weekend? Better safe to reserve now.
