Rock Stacker
Somewhere last year I received my first multi axle kit, the CrossRC HC6.
Really liked the BC8 Mammoth, but that is just too expensive for me
And the HC6 was next on the list "thumbsup"
Due to time and other priorities it took some time to get it anywhere near finished, now working on the details.
The box!
2-speed gearbox:
Nice and heavy:
Front axle:
Rear axles:
Mounted on the chassis:
Had a lot of issues with the bump stops for the rear axles, broke 2 while mounting, which have been replaced by CrossRC.
The new ones were a lot softer and easier to mount than the ones provided in the kit.
Working on the wiring:
Wiring finished:
Started on the bodywork:
Finished bed and accesories:
Testfit and inspection:
And it's current state:
The mirrors are mounted in rubber mounts from the same materials as the rear bump stops.
I had the same issues with those, the kit provided ones were pretty hard and tore easily.
Got replacements which are a lot softer and easier to mount.
The interior still needs to be finished before mounting.
Working on that at the moment.
Will be adding a working winch, sound module and the khaki tarp, still deciding on what to add for details in the bed, seems a bit empty now.
And the sound module probably needs to go in the bed, so I need crap to hide it
I am also not sure yet about the tires, they seem pretty hard, even for a truck this heavy.
