Just got home from a nightmare road trip to Fort Morgan and back (was not ALL bad, was an excuse to finally see the crawl space and get me some flashpoint 1.9s). I may be a little late. The drive back took forever, the weather made for scary driving (for everyone else, I drive a Saab)8)8)

I agree with Tony on the snow, cold and fog for this morning anyway. Fog is suppose to burn off by noon so I might adventure out early in the afternoon.
Changed a few things on my rig and need to test it out ... see if I can crawl for over 20 minutes without smoking a motor.

Have you tried using a Csstle Link? Might be something in the settings, or maybe a software update? I got one if borrowing is required

Thanks for the suggestion and offer ... yep, got the castle link and did upgrade the firmware as there was an update that addressed problems it had with brushed motors. I actually went past that upgrade to the 'beta' version which I still over heated my new Brood motor so I just back it down to the last non-beta version which still included the fix for brushed motors. Also geared down to a 16T from a 20T pinion. Now just need some decent weather to go test it.

HOLY! You were running a 20 pinion? Ouch! Are you running 3s batteries? What spur? I would say you're in the ballpark now. I have nothing be great things to say about my Team Brood motors - they are monsters! I hope it was something as simple as gearing and not a more expensive issue.

I think I have 16/87 on the wraith with my Brood Specter 27T.....rig is 7 3/4 lbs RTR weight. If that helps.

I have some new foams in the wraith that I want to test but I don't know if I will be able to get out today or not. I am on leave all week with no plans so you can bet your sister's sweet bottom I'll be breaking parts this week!!

Red rocks was killer, the crawlspace threw a pretty sweet event, had its challenges but it was cool venturing into new territory and seeing some cool rigs.

just added another one to the crew. picked up a deadbolt today. went crawling around the hogbacks in canon and it seems to do well. hope the weather is nicer next weekend and we will be there.

Managed to get a little work done on the DMG chassis. Stole the rear axle out of my comp crawler just so I could get some links made up. Will sleeve the links with aluminum tube now that I have lengths all worked out. Going to have a 13" wb and an 11" track width. Don't worry, not going to run the rovers, they just happened to be on the axle.
