colorado springs weekly comps/trail runs?

I am headed to Palmer park with the little guy if anyone wants to meet up.

I'm trying to talk my wife into driving one of my trucks tomorrow, I'm pretty sure it'll be based on weather, and if we pick a track she can easily walk on.

On a side note, Does anybody knowledgeable have a minute to chat about charging a lipo? I'd love to charge up and run my losi, but I need a couple things cleared up first.

For the micro? I usually put my 180 mah 2s on the little charger for about an hour

I didn't want to shell out $50 for the losi brand battery/charger when I already have a charger with balance and I can buy a 300 mah 2s lipo for $17 (and did).

The downside is that I've seen what a lipo can do when it's pissed off so I want to make sure my charge method is correct before pushing the start button.

I've over charged mine a couple times with just my wall charger and it hasn't acted up yet. I'm down for tomorrow.... Weather permitting

My 7.4 lipos usually charge to 8.4 on automatic setting on my B6 sac charger. I set mine on auto for a 1 amp charge cycle. Takes about 2 1/2 hours to charge but I think it's better to slow charge batteries than quick charge. I always keep a fan on my system and batts when charging. Helps keep them cooler. Never seen a lipo puff from charging? They always seem to puff from too fast of a discharge. My two cents on lipos.

Thanks to everyone that came out and helped work on the track last night. Spent some time down there today and got half the platform finished. ( the easy half ? Heres a picture of the progress

I will be there tomorrow but the kiddo wants to drive also so not sure how well we will be able to keep up. She gets better each time I give her the controller but not sure she is up to speed just yet
 
dont worry, I'll hang with you and the Kiddo....I'll let you drive my Honcho and you can give your crawler a rest on the trails.

OH, I have started collecting things to give away IF we actually do the Toys for Tots event...Atomic sent me a free T-shirt.

I want to make "trophies" to give away for finishers in classes...not sure what classes yet. Who traveled the farthest, who donates the most toys, best in show rig. That type of thing. I want to make the trophies out of stuff laying around like the RECON G6 team does. Nothing I have to pay for. I have plenty of trash, wood scraps and a marker; shouldn't be too hard.

I'm just taking a moment to say my date night is starting now, and we are probably going to be out late enough to miss tomorrows gtg.
 
Is anyone around a computer? Check the youtube channel to see if the video uploaded? It was having issues reading the file and its not set up for the mobile platform till tomorrow but its showing it uploaded i just cant view it yet.
 
So I guess today wasn't a total waste of time. After getting my truck fixed I decided to spend a little more time on the track. Couple more hours of work and we will be ready for track developement. So next Friday night if anyone with a 1/24th scale stadium/rally car wants to come over and help build jumps and berms and test them out? Throw me a shout . That would be awesome. Some pics of the progress.
