What a great turn out! Looks like a good track you put together on short notice. Is this track just to keep you guys out of the weather? I know you guys usually race out doors. You all in Colorado really know how put on a great gtg. Wish I could convince the ol lady to move out there. Been out there many times some for work and some for play, what a great place to live."thumbsup"

Great thread, pictures and concept. I live in Colorado Springs and would love to join you guys at some point. I love rc rally and I'm excited that it's catching on here.

Now, I just need to decide on a rally car...

Thanks,
Steve

pm tylerado...he is out in the springs...and twistedxt is half way to here as well.... depending on the price range and skill level a couple reccomendations for 10th rally would be a tamiya tb-01/tt-01 (mods needed but a solid car) or df-03ra...their is couple of us running losi xxx-s car heavily modded for rally...the tamiya shaft driven cars are more recommended for someone looking to get into it. Happy Hunting! "thumbsup"

Looks like there are several CS guys who are getting into it. It would be nice to get a course set up down here so we could get a little "seat-time" in. I would be more than willing to put in the labor if we could find a place to build one. I would like to see if there's something we could do at the track in the church field. I was by there the other day and they changed the layout of the track, so I don't know how good it'll be for the minis now.

Someone said they would talk to the guy in charge of the track but I haven't heard anything yet. There is plenty of room up there and I think we could build a really cool track.

Sorry I missed out on the fun. Last I heard you guys were running outside and I'm done with the snow and mud until I get my junk water-proofed. Looks like either a good turnout or Ty brought his complete arsenal

Excellent! I'm familiar with that track, but I've never run there because I'm not a racer. I'd be happy to help on a weekend when I don't have my kids. Just PM me, and at the very least, maybe we can get a group of us together before for the next rally meet up in Denver and practice with a fun run or something.

I've been building RC cars since the mid-80s and own a couple of Tamiyas and a Traxxas, so it's not completely foreign to me. I'm looking at the TB01 or a modded TT01r for a rally project.

Had a blast today. I want to thank my son Jackson for doing scores, helping clean up, filming, marshaling and keeping us entertained with his awesome skateboarding. Also thanks to Ty for helping me build the track and tear it back down. I also owe a debt of gratitude to Todd, Cato, Van, Jeff and Gary for staying and helping us clean up.
