Colorado Rally Championship 2012

hoping this next race wont be very muddy/snowy. is this going to be at hoon470? if not where and possibly directions for me and my friends from colorado springs?

if this snow doesn't let up, next Weeks race may be in a parking garage.

Kinda been the plan anyway.

Nope taking the month off from HOON 470, We are trying to figure out the location right now, but it looks like it will be in the Santa fe and Alameda area...Maybe. Rodney and I will get together tomorrow and see what our options are and finalize a location. When we know whats going on, you guys will."thumbsup"

awesome! also is santa fe and alameda in denver? lol dont know northern colorado streets haha

Yes, but its not 100% yet.

Most likely this will be a tarmac rally though. Sorry I can't give a definite yet. Tomorrow we should have it worked out.

well was working on a prototype for the Sprint 2 over tray. going to get me some fiberglass tomorrow and see if i can use the prototype as a template for a better looking fiberglass one. here are some pics.
here is the prototype without the spur tunnel.

now i know its not the nicest looking but hopefully after i have my fiberglass model done it will look good and be a cool little shield. maybe if they turn out nice i could sell em for people wanting to rally or just protect their sprint 2! hope you guys enjoy and ill definetly keep an update.

so ive got a question....are we aloud to run a diff chassis for tarmac events? same body and such.....

Yeah, but when I say tarmac, I am using it loosely, it will be bumpy, have gravel, jumps and probably snow. AND it may be a mixed surface race, it really just depends what the weather does.

ok cool it was just something i was wondering about.....after i get the xxx-s setup it should more then capable of handling any of the rally surfaces easily...looking forward to a "mixed surface" format

Just won one of those TB-01's off ebay! Man that dude has a sh*t ton of those.:mrgreen:

Yeah he does. 50-60 so far from all the feed back Rodney and I could find. There are probably 10 in our rally group now.:ror:

Race #2 Details:

Saturday February 11th 2012

Alright got to talk to Rodney looks like this will be a Tarmac race. The track will run through a small drainage area, across a slightly dis-repaired parking lot and will probably have a little bit of sand and gravel on it. The course will also have a cross over jump, we are not sure if there will be landings to the jumps yet or not and there will be no bi passes for them, so make sure your car is prepared.

The track will be outlined in chalk, hose and road cones. Area we have to work with is around 60 X 40. This will be single position racing so no need to bring running shoes.

All class rules posted in the first post still apply. Hope you guys are ready because event #2 is coming up fast."thumbsup"

Exact directions will be posted later this week, but the location is in the Denver area close too the Alameda and Santa Fe cross streets.
