you must be really smart. Can you explain to us retards what to look for when we're shopping for RC car parts
Float goes down, nope you missed better re-bait and cast again.

Talked, there is no where that I recommend one product over another. Why you might ask? Well that's very simple I have enough education and experience to know that I am not qualified to recommend one part over another.
then why are you getting in the middle of this if you have no dog in the fight, just sit back and read.
don't be a bad sport. tell us how RC car part manufacturers should have MSDS sheets, Mill test reports, proof of compliance to the Dodd-Frank consumer protection act, ANSI, ASTM, CSA etc...Float goes down, nope you missed better re-bait and cast again.
That's what websites such as RCC are for. People with real world hands on experience sharing their experiences with others and making reccomendationsget two comparable parts and do a quantitative comparison.
How important is an aluminum truss on composite plastic axle housing? In all these posts I've read, and all the ads for parts nobody ever seems to discuss the important points of, lets say aluminum truss.
Who cares what the alloy is? If boom racing or integy made a 300m axle shaft it would still be garbage if it was manufactured with horrible tolerances and a poor design. What alloy is it, what type of anodizing is used and what is the thickness?
What are you talking about specifically?Other then the obvious manufactures, I think that people have no clue what they are buying or even what they are looking for.
again, What are you talking about specifically? So yeah I'm new to this forum, but I'm not new to life, and the BS, either fan boy or basher is pretty transparent.
asiatees, boom racing and integy use a proprietary alloy comprised of melted down beer cans. Vanquish and other quality manufactures use real alloys. No need for certification when the parts speak for themselvesFor those that say VP is superior, it is a simple question why is it better then Boom racing. The VP site doesn't indicate any country of origin, no ANSI or ASTM standard numbers, no description of the anodizing type, nor is it clear if things are cast or billet.
You have not provided any actual facts or specified any particular part. What exactly are you talking about?I'm not trying to put anyone on the spot or be rude to anyone, but really if you can't even compare and contrast parts your opinion is pretty worthless.
Float goes down, nope you missed better re-bait and cast again.
I would gladly put up a set of the boom racing steel axle housings against a vp scx10 housing any day. Watch the steel housing out do the aluminum for strength and rigidity.
Speaking from first hand experience, I've broken aluminum knuckles from axial, integy, hot racing and yes even vp.
Guys who sit here without ever trying any other part on the market and spout off about how blah blah blah made in a marriage for my Taiwan made truck.
Who gives a shit where the crap is made, if they make a product you like and want to run, then run it. If not, move to the next one.
No need to sit here and say that company sucks dick, or that one does.
You're right! I haven't touched any of my RCs in over a yearThey're toy mother ****ing cars.
Another thing I've noticed a lot more lately is when some one brings up and Chinese company, especially boom racing, other manufacturers feel like that means it's free game to come in and talk shit about them.
To me seeing company a, talking bad about company b, in a public setting, is ridiculous. These companies wethernusa or American made are making products to grow our hobby, not to diminish it publicly.
There's no honor or dignity left anymore by companies who don't like others.
Hey guys.
So I just wanted to chime in that ATees is really close with Boom Racing, and that they'd like to make it incredibly clear on their stance for their products.
They know that there are going to be some people who don't enjoy them as much as other brands, and they understand that. All they'd like is a chance. If it still doesn't hold up to expectations, let them know why. They're willing to improve on parts if people have issues with them. One thing they've personally looked into is the leaking issues. Most customers don't seem to have leakage issues, or to the degree that some people's had them, but the minute we told them of the leaking issue, they went to work right away to try to fix it.
Not everyone's going to love them. They understand that, and they'll continue to try their best to change that. But they're trying hard to dispel the notion that all Chinese brands are crap. 'Cause they really aren't. There's lots of good stuff that comes out as well.
Just figured I'd give my thoughts on it. The scale crawler community is one that both ATees and Boom Racing highly respects because of how dedicated and friendly the people are. Anything we can do to support the community and keep it growing is a-okay in our books.
I'd just like to point out. All of this "homo" fan boy bullshit came about because someone trolled and said VP is no better than Integy parts.
Anyone who thinks Integy is just as good as or better than Vanquish Products deserves to be...
Integy makes pretty stuff. Integy parts are usually stronger that cheap factory plastic parts. Integy is inferior to any actual quality billet aluminum parts, such as the stuff Vanquish Products makes.
I have nothing to say about boom racing, I've never used their products. But I have used Integy parts and Vanquish Parts. Integy is inferior to Vanquish Products.
No one is really downing boom racing directly. Integy yes, but not Boom Racing. Why, because we don't have first hand experience with Boom Racing. But is it really that unreasonable to group them in with junk Integy and other chinese brands until Boom Racing has proven themselves?
And before one of you chinese fanboys call me out for being a homo VP fanboy. I am probably the largest chinese fanboy on RCCrawler. I have the LARGEST chinese product thread on RCCrawler and it's all about cheap chinese Flysky radios. Not only that, I have a pretty large customer base (1000-2000 people) that I have sold cheap chinese radios (or kits) that make those radios awesome.
I read many threads a week on cheap chinese Flysky radios vs Futaba/Airtronics/etc. In every thread you get some Futaba/Airtronics fanboy that pipes in and says Flysky is junk. This doesn't hurt my feelings one little bit, although it is bad business so I'd wish they stop :ror:. But I know Flysky has horrible quality control and went with the cheapest components possible. And I tell this to people all the time when I'm asked to compare radios. I don't hide the fact that the quality of the radio isn't great. But it is the most functional pistol grip radio you can buy.
So my point is, if you want to be a chinese fanboy, quit lying to yourself. You are supporting a product with inferior quality. And when you recommend these products to other members of RCC, you should make sure to tell them the quality isn't as great as Brand XY. But they get the job done and quite abit cheaper..... NOW if you are supporting something that is direct copy of a vendor's product here on rcc, you deserve whatever is coming to you.
You lump ALL Chinese brands into one group you call junk without any experience except with one brand you tried (Integy) and another brand you sell. That's being ignorant.
You say choose the best mechanical parts so use VP yet you sell bottom of the barrel FlySky radios that are known for being problematic and/or failing over time. Double standard, much? So pick your stance. Either recommend the best all the time or recommend junk all the time. Or just stop senselessly bashing budget brands without any basis for doing so. Spend all your money on VP and build a $1,000 rig and then have it fall off of a cliff and be destroyed because your budget radio glitched. Makes a ton of sense (sarcasm).
Me, if I was buying high end for one thing and budget for the rest I'd make sure I had a quality, reliable radio and I'd cheap out on the mechanical parts that work just fine despite being from a budget brand.
Personally, I buy budget and high end and recommend both.
You're a vendor bashing the brand of another vendor as well. Real "classy".
A little reading comprehension skills would have told you all that you need to know. He clearly stated, "But is it really that unreasonable to group them in with junk Integy and other chinese brands until Boom Racing has proven themselves?" That right there shows you that he lumped all Chinese parts in together as junk. Do I have a way of reading into things? No. I actually know how to read and interpret what I've read. You sure have a way to read into things exactly what you want them to say don't you? The only Chinese alloy part manufacturer he mentioned was integy. Integy alloy is soft crap. There are other Chinese alloy part manufacturers that market decent quality parts out of stronger alloys. He didn't name them now did he?
I can't say I've ever heard of a flysky radio causing a rig to be damaged. I've been running an un-modified gt3 for a few years, love it. If I wanted it to do 9 different functions it can be done. There is no way to do that with any other brand unless you buy a twin stick radio and a pistol grip and make them inbreed. That little 3 eyed baby will do most of what the flysky can do but be roughly 5 times the cost. Sounds like a good investment.
