Bomber Aluminum Panels from Barndog Racing

I went with using only the top 2 mounting holes, with a nylock on the back sides. I went this way because I plan on recessing scale LED tail lights in the panel possibly,If they need the hole its not hard to drill em. Also it's easier to remove with the top 2. Just my 2 cents:

Exactly like FFWF's panel but stretched forward so that one more hole on each side can be captured by that screw at the point of the triangle. Maybe just a bit more flush with the top of the bar also.

Yeah, if you could catch that last bolt hole on the point, that would be killer "thumbsup" @Barndog Racing

That's better than what I had pictured in my mind. I love the little angle you put on the sides.

Hey, you have a sweet box & pan break! If you have more material to play around with, try bringing the tops of those bends a bit closer together. Meaning, try to close that gap around the bends by bringing your bend lines a hair closer together and a bit less on the bend. As you and I both know about bends, a little goes a long way. You can also scribe the inside now using the bomber cage as a guide to file down any high points to touch up the lines. Either way, it looks great and they will sell for sure regardless!

Thanks Fightfire I thought about trying that also if guys wanted a sharper line rather than radius.I have had the brake for 18 years but started sheel metal fab 25 years ago.I actually mark all parts with templates and hand cut every piece just oldschool tin knocking."thumbsup"

Barndog panels goes to Germany ... fits perfect, lightweight and it looks very nice!! Barney, thx for this great work!

Now I´m going to install a scx-styled tranny. So there will be a huge gap to close behind the "seats".

Has anyone an idea to get a matching panel?? ;-) ...... Barney, huhuuuuu

You are looking for a rear firewall, as to clarify what you are asking for. Those are a pain in the real world so I can just imagine how much "fun" it would be to make one for this car, with the lack of mounting points.

Thanks for your help ... it´s hard for me to write in english, it is not my motherlanguage - i´ve learned englisch in school nearly 40 years ago. So it is a bit rusty ....

A rear firewall ... thats exactly what I´ve meant ;)

Where is the link to the kits? Can't seem to find them on the site.

Hi Barney,
you got it ... a rear firewall. For the scx-tranny-conversion better without the opening in the middle resp. just a little one for the rear driveshaft.

All bodies shipped out and one headed to Finland "thumbsup" thanks guys these sides are also available with my kit but it requires removing the battery box sides AND COMING UP WITH YOUR OWN BATTERY MOUNTING SYSTEM BECAUSE THIS NARROWS THE BATTERY BOX.These give you a little more room for bigger tires.Just throwing different options out there.P.M. me for a price on these.

Sent you a pm about a short set, and a set as pictured.

Are you making that rear panel too? The one in post #47, but with the tighter radius to the plastic cage?

Yes he is. He will also make changes to any of the panels too if you want a different look or style. Cant say anyone else is willing to do that. I had him make some changes on my yeti xl and now bomber panels.
