i think the front looks a little stupid, but i dont mind them, and ive seen a cupple sweet homemade buggys, but if there is one thing i cant stand is a bug body, send me one and ill make a video of what i think of it.

but somebody said you have to hack a body to make them clear the tires, but ive only cut the grille off my body and it clears just fine, as well as somebody said that a body can push you off a rock or off a line but ive had mine stop me from flipping over more times than push me off a line

I'm not a big fan of bodyless since I love the sweet paint jobs but if it works then why the heck not? Everything is based on setup and tuning any ways either way it is only good once you dump your time into tuning it for you.

How about a pic?

I've read a lot about how bodiless is a "Cheater" rig....not so. Designing a chassis to run a body is much easier than designing a bodiless chassis. The rules in place for bodiless is much harder to follow than a bodied truck.

I'm in the "Run what you prefer" camp...if you like bodies, than run it. Personally I prefer bodiless for one reason...visibility. It's much easier to see what is going on with a bodiless truck than a bodied truck.

Anyways I don't like the looks of bodyless either, i still want some scaleism. Thats why i want one of the blc chopper chassis which is a moa chassis but still takes body.

for ex.

That word...scaleism...just cracks me the **** up. If you want to talk about scale, how many 1:1 comp buggies run 49" IROKs?

Only in magazines my brutha...only in magazines.

a guy I know here in calgary alberta (well he actually lives just outside of the city now) competes in all kinds of comps with his tube buggy on 54" boggers, he also has a set of 66" monster truck tires for "car crushing" lol, he competed in KOH a couple years ago and made it into the LCQ but didnt advance to the actual race, close though! he also won TTC (actually the first and only ever official "tie") a couple years back with the same rig. one hell of a machine!!

Oh I completely understand, TTC is different, and KOH is an entirely different ball game.. he has driven a few times in WEROCK in his friends buggies but i dont think he ever wheeled his truck at the werock events, its pretty f-ing big! lol

x3 Boss "thumbsup" Having run both I prefer bodiless on a comp rig hands down for all reasons list by all in favor above. My favorit part of bodiless is the narrower profile and no body to hang on sharp points.

And just to add to the pictures:

at AZ Shoot Out in June i watched every rig flail on a gate, even Jake Wright gave in and took gate 9 on this one course, One tried it and made it, Sococrawler with a BJ V3, his rig plain works! and the driver? hmmm?he has his days. I'm a lil bummed because I think that rig is coming back out of retirement which means i have to give back my axels since they ended up on my rig. we love bodiless so much we have 4 of them, a BJV4 on xr-10 axels, my BJV3 on berg axels, a super juice and now I just ordered another mini juice chasis to replace the last one since it went up in flames cause that rig was hot!!!:lmao:
