Best skidplate material?

I've got some 1/8" teflon sheets I've been cutting up for skids. They are actually pads they put between steel I beams on some of these comercial buildings we lay blocks/bricks on. VERY easy to cut bend and shape and SUUUUUUUUUUUUPER slick. Heres the skid I put under my brothers Twin.

Have you guys ever just used straight flat lexan? That is what I have been using and it seems to work pretty well given there is bracing behind it so it doesnt simply give way. Thoughts?
