Bay City or Tri Citys MI

lol im not to worried about it bro im just going threw some ideas i mean i may end up building that again with with some better touches and knowledge i didn't know back then and what i know now

So when and where is immelman?

I went to Larrys today and had a freakin blast!! Now THAT is a rockpile. I used up both of my 5000mah batteries  I was at it for like 2 hours. I first burnt up my cheapo motor (locked it right up!) so I bought a nice 65 turn motor (integy v10) that worked like a champ the rest of the day. Then I popped the rear driveshaft u joint out. It popped right back in but at the prompting of a fellow rock crawler I upgraded to some cool mip c-drive spline metal drive shafts (not installed yet). Didnt have any other troubes after that. With the 2.2 tires I now have it worked great on the rocks. I was able to crawl all over that thing. I could not make it up the one hump at the end (too sharp of an incline) but other than that I was all over and even made it throught he hoop at the top. I met one of the guys who made the course and he seemed like a cool guy (said he was the local club president) he had a nice ax-10 cherrokee on 1.9 and had fun on the rocks as well. Over all it was a great time. 8)

Hay dan, here is a thought for you, Since you have a real nice clod body as your trail truck, if you wanted another like it for a "BASHER ROCK" body, go to craigslist and in the FLINT section type in i belive CRAWLER and there is a guy selling a whole body and i belive a partial body for like $20 if your interested... I was going to snag it up, but dont have a trial truck to put it on....

Just ordered a spur gear for the creeper and a 15t double fireball motor for my sons stampede. hopefully its here befor christmas. should be Tower Hobbies is always fast and only in Indiana

Dan

What are you thinking about for sunday. Would we be able to crawl in the fountains in Frankenmuth. If so I would be cool with meeting in Frankenmuth.

Think tommorow Ill work on the full scall bug . That Clod body looks very tempting but I allready have a backup "new" clod if I wanted to make a beater out of my current body. Frankly the Parma truck body is perfect for the rocks it worked really well today8). I FINALLY got my 2.2 rock tires. Cant wait to try them out. So I have the 2.2 chevrons (great for general off road and snow and on the rocks today impressed me), the 1.9 for the clod body and scale off roadin, and now the 2.2 rockers. Would love to go to immelman tommorow but I gotta christmas party to goto at 1pm . I think Ill play in the snow and work on the bug and install my new driveshafts into the ax-10. We need to set a day for all of us to meet at Larrys that place rocks "thumbsup"

I just went out and played in the snow. I don't have enough wheel speed for the deep stuff. I was doing good until I hit a section of my yard and the snow was deeper than my tires are tall.

We could meet about 9:30, that should give us plenty of time to burn through a couple of batteries.

I am going to talk to Aaron Today if he comes in about making the course bigger for you guys.

Thanks.
Well Dan and I made our trip to the Frankenmuth Hobby shop and played on their small rock pile and crawled through the water/rock area outside. Lots of fun trying to get through the snow. I go to say that I love my super swampers. I borrowed a 4000 3cell from monsterRC and was able to have enough wheel speed to keep the tires clean.

I almost forgot my waterproofing worked great. I used a playdough container for my reciever, its a little big but works well.

While we were there torch18 or torque18 stopped by, but didn't have any gear.

On January 8th Dan and I are planning on going down to Larry's for the comp. We were talking about meeting in Frankenmuth and car pooling down if anyone is interested. We'll post more as we get closer to the date.

Name

Sorry about the name problem. It's TORC811 that stopped in and hopefully will be putting his stuff back together to hit Larry's and waterproofing some to hit Frankenmuth next time.

GForce 30C 2650mAh 3S 11.1V LiPO
They look ok, but idk about using them for a TREX 500. I think they might be to small but for your truck they should be awesome.

Was a good time today. Though I gotta say I could spend a whole day at larrys and it would go fast. Hopefully we can get a real rock course set up at the frankenmuth store (I know he will say yes).

Dan

Trip to Larry's

It was cool meeting you guys today. I am definitely going to put my stuff back together. Need to put together a few orders so I can finish my Honcho make-over. ;-)

I am down for a trip to Larry's but can't make it on Jan 8th or 15th. I have the Short Track Showdown on the 8th at the Cellar in BC and a points race in Mount Pleasant on the 15th.
