Bay City or Tri Citys MI

I'm working on my new rear bed and cage today. I'm thinking about going down to the comp at Larry's on the 8th of January. We should get some guys together and car pool down. The event is only $5 and if we split the gas it shouldn't be to expensive of a Saturday.

hey Jeff hate to break your lil heart about January 8th but last I checked that's a point series!

But I can't make it to all of the point series comps but I am planning some trips down to some of there gtg for sure "thumbsup"

Can't anyone run the point series. I am free almost all of those days but the gtg's are not looking good. I have my daughter for a bunch of them.

Propane

So I'm in the garage using a propane heater. I go to put a new canister on and it won't let the propane out so I switch to another and it works great. About an hour into grinding and welding I start to smell propane. The tank that didn't work earlier is spraying propane into the air. I take it outside and try to put it back on the heater to stop the spraying. NO luck. I ended up throughing it top down into the snow and headed in the house. I'll let the air disipate in the garage before I start to grind and weld again.

On a side note I took my daughter to preschool in Freeland this morning so I took a run over to Imerman park and the Titabawassee river area (behind Burger King). Their is about 4 inches of snow on the rocks. So not sure if anyone will be crawling on them anytime soon.

Anyone can run the points series. If you are tying to qualify for nationals then you want to try and make them all.

You will be able to drop one comp score (i think) for your final total. So if you miss 2 or more you will just have a lower score.

I know that im gonna miss some of them due to the relaionship between where the comp is and how long i have to be at work that day.

Thanks for the info. This would be my first time doing any kinda crawler comp. Are these mainly comp rigs. I have a Scaler that I'm making adjustments too as we speak.

Indoor flying on sunday was fun but one he'll of a crappy drive to svsu! Those snow mountains in the parking lot at my work look like they would be a great challenge for our trucks. I wanna play as soon as I get some daylight play time! Tonight I'm working on my fullscale bug. I did install my new speed controller and the brake is fun but odd to get used to. I'm down for some outdoor stuff as long as it does not interfere with family stuff. Which this time of year there is alot of. To those thinking of getting rid of their trucks due to lack of use just wait, It will all come around once we get into 2011. Holidays are killing me!!!

hey dan its mitch from the svsu flying i had the 600. im working on a spot to crawl this winter but im now trying to figure out the brake for my truck im thinking 4 wheel disk but having some issues.

Ya I heard you had a truck. Took mine out last night to attack a few snow piles. I used the 2.2 monster tires (chevron design) I picked up last week at Rogers. It floats on the snow ok. BUT the snow is not really packed enough and once you start going up a grade it digs in. Im sure once we get the good stuff it will be a blast. Or if it ices over ok. Sure throws up some cool rooster tails though. And on ice I did some cool 4wd brodies.

Well they say heavy is good fir the rocks. I'm new to all this and see my ax-10 doing more scale off roading than rock stuff but I wanna try rock as well. I really am enjoying the truck and making it scale. It really is amazing what the truck can do.

Not me and there's snow on the ground
