Hi guys this has probably been covered but I don't know how to search a forum.....I'm new to this. I've got my VS4-10 Ultra with a 3500kv sensor less motor and esc combo from goolrc its cheap i know but I spent all my money on the kit. So until I can afford better electronics this is what I got. However even worse I've been running it in the yard on an old NiMh battery. Today I purchased a 2s 5200MH 50C lipo I've got 3s ordered through Amazon but they're like 2 weeks away. Can anyone tell me how long the battery will last on a trail? Just a rough estimate the trail i have in mind is about an hour long at a slow walk. Will I need more than one battery?

That battery should last more than an hour easily. If you however decide you are bored and start squeezing that throttle a LOT to rip it around it may be less than an hour.

Your battery stores about 50% more energy then my 3S batteries do. Mine get me around 1.5hrs on average, I'd wager you'd easily see 2 hours on average.

Awesome guys thank you. I didn't want to get out on my trail and run out of juice and be carrying my rig back. My trail is a little over a mile and a half long takes me just at an hour ish to walk it slowly.

2hrs? I'm saying way more. Maybe 4 hrs even?

Depends how you drive really. A lot of low rpm crawling style driving, I wouldn't be surprised if you got 5 hrs. Lots of full throttle ripping, then probably less than 3 hrs.

I use 2200mAh batts because I like the smaller/lighter packs and I get right around 1.5-2hrs+ out of each of them.

You use 3S correct?

You use 3S correct?

Correct, and I forgot to factor that into my statement. Not sure if that's why you're asking but you helped me see my own error so thanks..

If I get 2hrs onmy 3S 2200mAh, someone on 2S could fairly expect to get about 66.7% of that run time. That's assuming that volts and watts scale linearly and in a case like this I'm sure they don't.

So that would be about 1.33hrs (1h20m)per 2200mAh which equates to about 27.5mAh per minute consumed..

So on a 5200mAh 2S that would work out about 190 minutes. About 3 hrs.. Not as high as I originally thought but not too far off.
