Well I had to jump on the Pro-Line twin I beam kit. After Pre-ordering the kit I ordered a 10.2 Deadbolt to use as a starting point. Than order a VP Currie F9 axle to start on things. Also ordered a bunch more stuff so stay tune.

Nice, i just did the same...stripped down a chassis and ordered a body. My I beams just shipped. Pretty excited about it, looks like it's going to be fun.

Check your account - Horizon charged me 2x for it, once when it came off backorder, and once when it shipped. This happened before as well, they made it right right away.

Cool start, I’m excited to see this built!

I almost pre ordered the kit when it was announced, but I don’t have any 10.2’s, and I know for a fact a $90 I-beam kit will spiral into a $800 rig real fast.

Same. It should be a fun kit, but not having a 10.2 to start with it doesn't make sense for me.

I havent even assembled the ifs kit on a scx now this! Subscribed

A little progress today. Still waiting on the new shocks and electronics but got the beam kit on.

Kit looks awesome!!! Mine is supposed to show up tomorrow. I can't wait!!!
Do you plan on running a rear shock plus a damper?
I've always been a bit perplexed about that part of trophy trucks. Wouldn't running heavier weight oil have the same effect, or am I missing something? I can see the logic in running two 30wt "shocks" but wouldn't a shock with say, 60wt accomplish the same thing?
Again, just asking, because I don't know the answer.
Truck looks great, I've been waiting almost a month for mine, I'm so pumped I told my wife and she is equally not excited, cause more garage time!!! Yay for me!

This is gonna be cool!8) Following to see how this build takes shape.

Great choice in the axle. Sure does look purdy!:)

I do have a 10.2 collecting dust and I'm hoping this build kickstarts a resurrection of it!

Some morning goodies showed up today and some more progress happened. Got the Pro-Line big bore shocks, VP swaybar and Ssd-rc rear shock hoops. Power will come from a copperhead and a 4600kv motor. Used a Spare-Time Hobbies rear sway bar mount to mount the swaybar. Had to put the mount on top instead of the bottom to get it to work. But so far so good.

Very cool build! I love that you added an aluminum rear axle and dual front shocks.

Thanks guys. It's coming along. Have to pick out wheels and tires yet. But have a few laying around I could us until I decided on some. Also have to think of a paint scheme.

Got my body painted. Went with Spaz Stix candy apple red backed with silver metallic hard anodized. Turned out pretty good.

So I swapped out the tires today. Went from the Pro-Line Toyo Open County R/T trails to the tad smaller open country r/t. Looks not so monster truckish now.
