Re: Badger's SCX10 2012 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon

At least I'll get to fondle you, I mean it in March/April, right?8)

At which event will this raping take place?

If you get those parts before me I am going to send a singing telegram to Steve with a special message.

Here's a few recommended singing telegram services that are near Steve. You might want to call now and book them in advance as I hear they get busy this time of year.

Some parts have started arriving this week, VP stuff should be here any day now.

Got the new Tekin ROC 412 3100kv motor and RS ESC!

From Tekin's site:
Designed specifically for rock crawlers and scale trail rigs, the ROC 412 boasts the proven 4-pole 12-slot sensored motor design from the popular T8 and Pro4 series motors. Some special tweaks have been made to produce a powerplant capable of pushing your G6 trail ride or competition crawler to maximum performance. Grab a ROC 412 today for the ultimate in rock-crushing, axle-snapping power.

Tekin's latest contribution to the popular Redline series of brushless motors is the ROC 412 crawler motor. The ROC 412 is a new generation in crawling performance. The 412 gives 3S LiPo / 35T brushed crawler speeds with 2S LiPo / 55T brushed precision and feel. Using a 4-pole, 12-slot motor design, the ROC 412 harnesses the benefits of brushless torque and efficiency to keep you on the trail longer with more power. Couple the ROC 412 with an RS or RX8 speed control for the smoothest brushless crawling system available. Take your rig to the next level with the ROC 412.

I don't know how the motor is yet, will get it installed and tested this weekend. It's supposed to be a nice setup though.

I'm a photographer lol

i want to grow up to be a pro-togropher

Nice. "thumbsup" I'm a pornagrapher.

i admire your work and never get enough of it!!!!!!

so im new to brushless... 3100kv is a mix between speed and slight crawling?
lower number = more control and not as fast and higher = fast less low speed?

definitely want to see what you think of it.. need a brushless setup for my foff

Re: Badger's SCX10 2012 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon

So I forgot a few things that I need for this build so I just placed an order at RPP Hobby. Literally 30 minutes after I placed the order I got an email saying it was shipped. Nice job Cory, even with the holiday hustle you guys still "do work"!

I forgot to get a BEC since I will more then likely be running the Tekin RS and ROC412 motor on 3S lipo.

I ordered another pair of Axial 1.9 Maxxis Trepador Tires R35 because I keep forgetting to order a 3rd set of tires so I have one for the spare tire. With how popular the scale stuff is lately, I don't understand why you can't order just a single tire for the scaler guys with spare tires, seems pretty common to me. So if anyone needs 1 1.9 Maxxis tire let me know.

And last I ordered a Pull Pall RW-60 because I keep seeing pictures of them on Facebook and they look sick!

Thanks.

My understanding is that the 3100kv should be equivalent (a little slower) to a 35t brushed motor on 3s (11v) which is what I run in my Honcho and I love it. It's supposed to have great low end resolution and plenty of wheel speed for the rock racers.
