Racing off road most of my life, My last off-road race kit was a AE B3 (when it was released) to give a time frame. Fast forward 20 some odd years, my son got the speed bug and wanted to start racing, he is all in! I’ve had monster trucks and crawlers to fill my time so I was never out of the loop with the hobby.

As much as I just wanted to race by his side my old slash was not cutting it for me. Neglected maintenance, high COG, tired/old and cheap brushless system, etc, something had to happen. Thank goodness I am an adult and can manage money, the orders were sent in and a few trips to the LHS. Locally they run on indoor clay, and it is super clean and great shop. Mostly 2wd buggy, SC, and a handful of trucks that usually run with the SC. Mostly It’s split between AE and TL for buggy’s, AE has the hold down on SC and Slashes and modded to the max.

This time I got a Rc10sc6.4, mamba x and a 1410 3800kv, lightning fast protec servo, and a Mt-5 for the radio (waiting to be delivered). That itch was scratched but wish I had started sooner with the build for this Friday's race I don’t think I’ll have it finished yet. I have been wrenching at night and my free period at school. Fit and finished as expected; there is nothing like putting together a new kit no matter what kind it is.
