Axial Yeti - Critical Dimensions, Parts compatibility, Gearing etc

After nearly two months from initially placing my pre-order, my Yeti finally arrived today at work. I had a quick play around and in under 60 seconds, I clipped a chair leg and it broke the rear trailing arm at the eye! So fragile! Do you know if any other parts can replace it? It would have to be off the shelf direct swap as I live in Australia! Can't wait that long for the Vanquish aluminium ones which aren't even available yet! I don't know if anyone in Australia would already be stocking Yeti spares!

Just make up 2 links, same eye to eye length as stock ones for now to hold you off. Tough luck though! We have a rule around here. Don't run Rc's in the street. Curbs cause big time damage!

Links would be great except he still needs something to mount the bottom of the rear shock to. If you have some fab skills, you can make links and then braze or weld some tabs on them for the shock mount. BMRC has their trailing arms out already so you can order a set of them. I have a set on order while I am still waiting for my Yeti to come in the mail.

I wasn't on the street. I was INDOORS! I clipped a darn CHAIR of all things. and that's all it took to break in roughly 45 seconds of use.
I ordered the part from Tower last night already, but I have to wait around two weeks for delivery since I'm in Australia and I basically have no other choice but play the waiting game.
What I wanted to know was there anyone else who had managed to break it and if there were any compatible parts out there that existed from other vehicles that would fit, but after a couple of hours of searching, I guess not!
What I am going to do is chop off the broken eye, then drill a hole in the new end and attach a tie-rod end with a double sided threaded stud thingy (not sure what theyre called) or turnbuckle.
Here's a couple of images of where it broke:

SOluiton posted above. Can still use the shock mount position because I'm keeping 90% of the original trailing arm.
annndd THANKYOU for the BMRC suggestion! I thought no one had any out yet! Buying these now!!
I am still very dissapointed at how thin and fragile Axial made this part considering it's a major link

Just an FYI - I put the CFM 1.25 cans with VP wheels on my Yeti with R35 Trepador tires and you MUST use VP 475 hubs up front to get proper clearance from the knuckles. I'm using VP knuckles, but I'd imagine it's the same if you're using the stock ones.
I had the 725 hubs on the back, but now the rear is narrower than the front. I ordered some 850s to try and match the front and back widths.
