any crawlers in MN?

I think it's pretty cool. An idea, if you removed the front of the top section (in the yellow area below) it'd look more like a windshield support from the side.

i can chop it up a bit later , i just wanna see how it handles:flipoff:

all i have to do is drill a hole to mount the cross brace if i mod the windsheild

Rough outing

Thank God it was only bashing today and not a comp. First off, the place we were bashing is a climb down a steep bank. First I ran my Brown clod, 5 minutes into the bashing I broke a motor wire off and had only 2wd. Nothing serious, went and got the 2.2. After another 5 minutes I took a bad roll and broke a shock on that. Another trip up to the truck for the CA glue, that didn't really hold, used some zip ties for a trail fix and they worked ok. Then lost some teeth in the Pede tranny idler gear. That brushless just has too much torque for the Pede idler. I have a couple laying around so it will get fixed soon. Just a rough day bashing, didn't even run through a full battery pack. Still had fun though.
Time to get some repairs done so I'm ready for next weeks comp.

North Country, 9Guy9, Adogg, you guys gonna make this One?? It's the best 6 of 8 comps we'll be using for season champion. Weather hopefully shouldn't be a factor this week.

MN Gumby, get those clod axles locked yet?
Rerock, I take it you're just to busy?
Whats up with some of the rest of you guys??
Mudman20??
Toyota T???
Cole18???
MGT mania???
Scho0643??

Comp season is underway.

Get the Aluminum one, I played with the plastic ones for a while before I just got tired of fixin. Also adjust the slipper to cope with the brushless torque.

Thanks for the link Ben :) I was gonna do a little looking tomorrow for some, wasn't sure who had them. This is the 2nd I've gone through, I'm already sick of fixing. Lots of stuff to order this week, and before Moab.

Anything happening with the logo Kevin?

Hey Troy, It looks as though you called at the same time I was talking to Chris(he was in town and stopped by). And ofcoarse I didn't see that I had missed a call till late in the evening, so that's why I didn't call back. We were on our way home anyways at that time.
Heather and I went to Fort Snelling to walk around, got there about 3:00. I brought a couple of my trucks to run if we found something. We walk one path that would eventually end up at Minnehaha, but it's at least 3 miles from were we started... There wasn't reall much on the trail besides a couple interesting spots to run around. Nearly the whole time I just drove my truck while we walked, and the battery didn't die till after 45 min of run time.

Here's a pic of a fun, TALL, climb... I went up about 2/3 of the way( just before where it get narrow up there). Then tried to back down, That didn't work too well. Tumbled, cartwheel style, most of the way. Broke a link, but was still able to drive for most of the walk.

So I took the HPI 5B out this afternoon to the park by my parents place. Started with about half a tank of gas, and ran her till she was dry. I got at least a half hour of running around at full throttle most of the time.
This thing is awsome! There were some raised parts in the ground that I was able to use as a ramp/jump to get airborn, that was fun. A couple bad landings... One made it cartwheel 7 times before landing upside-down. I just thought it was weird to see something that large (and heavy) being tossed around like that. And... NO BROKEN PARTS!:mrgreen:
I definatly have to get this out to a BMX track of some sort.

I hope everyone else had a good day...

Adogg, out in Hutchinson at the RC shop they have 2 tracks. The larger of the 2 would be a blast with the 5B.

not too bad ,
cartwheel'd it down a hill , pulled out a upper link from the rod end , tossed the battery out , other than than that she did pretty good , i am mounting the batt to the front axl now

Wow, just heard the early weather forecast for this weekend. Sounds like it may be close to 100 on Sunday. Whats up with this fawking heat?? I'll be there either way, but DAMN 100. Chit we'll have bodies and tires melting ;-)
Maybe by this weekend we'll be used to the heat after this week.

Well I did it... I started tinkering with the TLT again and decided to revamp it before the comp. So far I have changed it before every single comp... Hopefully I can leave it be for at least a couple comps after this one.

I don't think that will happen! Which isn't really a bad thing. Granted you're not getting a chance to learn your rig, but you're making 'em better each time. It's all about evolution;-)

I would like to check out one of your guys comps and thinking about driving to taylors falls this weekend but where in T. F. is the comp

Here you go SilverDirt, this link will direct you from Superior to our spot in Taylors Falls. The starting point is very general, but the ending point is very precise so feel free to zoom all the way in for more detail.
