Also guys if things are not as good out there. We can go to Minniopa State Park . It is not to far away from where we will be. There is watterfalls and lots of rock there. You just need the state park sticker. I hope every one can make it I think it will be a blast. I was going to go out there and put up some picks but the GF has the camera on vacation:roll: she will be back on saterday. she might go also:shock:

See you guys on sunday

Hey guys, life has been busy and my freetime is so small i have had no time for my RCs. Freetime recently pmed me asking if i was alive or not. I'm back and i really hope to make it to the clubs events.

since the last time I had posted we were trying to figure out the name and website name, is there any sign up form tobe part of the club or is it a "hey! can i play too???" type deal?

Anybody can be part of the club... As of now, the only real requirement is that you come out and 'play' once in a while.
We've got potentially 10 comps this season(already had our first one), and we are doing a best 8 out of 10 comps for final scoreing. Comps are going to be about 2 every month, about 2 weeks apart or so. If you haven't already, take a look at the MNRCRockCrawlers website and check out the dates. The locations haven't been completely set yet, but we're working on it.
As I'm sure you've seen, we are having a little G2G this Sunday in Mankato at a spot that looks pretty decent from the few pics we've seen. You are definatly more that welcome to come along. You could probably even ride with one of us that are heading down there if you don't want to drive all the way (I have no problem with a passenger).

So I did one of my 'not so famous' Google maps to the Happy Chef in Mankato. It looks like it's one of the easiest drives so far. Just down 169 from the cities, about 60+ miles or so. Happy Chef is just of the highway on the right. From what it looks like, the exit off 169 should be Lake St/CR-73. But I'm not positive about that, so keep an eye out for the Happy Chef (I'm sure they'll be signs and such for it before we actually get there). If you reach Hwy 14, you gone just a hair too far.

Well, I've done a few upgrades to the Clod. Still fine tuning of course. I'll be kinda 'unveiling' it in Mankato. Here's you're only clue...

ToyotaT you are more than welcome to come to the GTG. Also guys I found out a friend of mine has got into crawling as well. He only has a nylint as of now. But I have a feeling that will change. I invited him to check things out on sunday.

Hells yeah... Toyota T, Speedsport's friend, Speedsport's gf (and any cute friends of hers;-)), all are welcome. The more the merrier!

Im up for headin to the GTG but i happen to be grounded at the moment (no comment :D) so leaving the house is a no. My 2.2 still needs some fine tunein and i also ordered up some bender link mounts to replace my flimsy bbys so i will be ready for some crawling.

lookin at the home page the comp in taylor falls sounds like a go were is its general location along with time it takes to get there (just seeing if the neurotic mom will let me drive or flip a tit worrying that i might hit a walleye or something)

Well here is a link to the previous post with the map/satalite veiw: http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/showpost.php?p=333403&postcount=762
And here is one with a bit more of the detailed driving directions:

From the looks of it (using Google Earth) the distance from Northfield would be about 87 miles or so, about a 1.5 hour drive. But if you want, you could head up to were I am and park here(park in my underground spot). We then could car pool to the location. That's only about 39 mile +/- to my place, not so bad.

Doesn't look like I'm going to make the Mankato gtg today. I haven't got anything ready yet to run.:-( I was just gonna come and check out the area, but with nothing ready to run, that would be no fun.
Have fun guys, and get some pic's.

Sorry to hear you're not coming Freetime.

I'm just waiting on my last batteries to charge then I'm out the door. I'll see you guys in Mankato in a little while.
