any crawlers in MN?

Have a great time in Iowa Freetime!! (I never thought 'great time' and 'Iowa' could be used in the same sentence) Any ways kick some MWRCASS:flipoff:

Thanks Niklepimp, I'll give it my best shot!!!
You guys have a good weekend, Have fun in Taylors Sun!!
I'll make sure they get plenty of pic's and hopefully some vid.

As it stands, we're planning on heading up to Taylor's falls about noon on Sunday. Anyone is invited. MN state park sticker is required to park there (you can purchase a sticker there for like $20 good for all year), or if anyone wants to we can carpool. Currently It's me and ProBeater in my truck, I can fit at least 2 more.

It's a great spot to crawl, plus it'd be a great chance to practice before the next comp-especially since the next comp will be there!

Its $25 for a year pass, or $7 for a day. From the looks of it, we will be there a lot. So if you go, the year pass will be a good idea. And it is good for all state parks in MN.

Ohh yeah, went to Hub last night and got some new drive shafts for the TLT. Also picked up a pack of steel yokes for the rear drive shaft, both ends are now steel. Hopefully it will not pop out this time. I also dropped in some zip ties on the shock shafts to limit the flex.

Etype, are you still planning on going up to Taylor's on Sunday? Have you heard anything from your other club-are any of them going?

yeah I am, no idea on the others. I didn't get around to sending them a email. Right now I am messing with my txt suspension. I cut a shock tower piece for it tonight on the cnc router at work.

Heard from Ben tonight, they will be there this sunday at 2pm. Maybe we should aim for 1pm, since that is when everyone seemed to show up last time anyways?

well , just button'd up both trucks , so i'm good to go for sunday :flipoff:
wheels are weighted, foamed and glued..dad's truck should work out a LOT better , hell 4th and 5th place in standings with the same truck and SHORT HARD tires isnt too bad , lets see if we can go for the top spot now:flipoff:

i have to go to Discount Steel in Norf murderapolis on Satirday to get an estimate on a chassis cutting job for scale crawlers......
kevin , gimme a call sunday mornin like 30-45 min before ya wanna leave to pick me up or want me to swing out to your place

Well, it appears as though the rain has stopped. According to radar Taylors Falls has been dry since about 5:30am. I'm thinking (hoping) that it should be dry by the time we get up there. They say it's supposed to be high of 75 today. I'm still game. What do you guys think?

what a RIOT

man , today was badass you guys werte right , TF is too cool to crawl

pulled a upper link apart on dad's test'n it out today , and pulled the rear steer lock on the left rear on the kiddo's , i kept put'n it back together and really ended up tear'n it up

now i need a tlt housing , and have to fix dad's truck , but we'll be back FULL TILT in time for the comp:flipoff:

kevin is gunna post up the picks i had , hopefully we have more to come up as well

Yep, Taylors Falls it the sh!t!! We had a blast. There was crawling, falling, and carnage...what more can you ask for;-). Some of the guys from Etype's racing club met us up there with their crawlers too. Got some pics:

In the next 2 pics ProBeater is thinking; "How do I explain this to dad?"
While I'm thinking; "This works sweet as a bridge!"

Some carnage:

And even though I stripped the gears in my front servo, I was still able to do donuts in the parking lot!

Looks like a fun time by the pic's. A great comp spot to be sure. I'm looking forward to the July 16th comp. I'll be out there before then though to get some run time in.
We didn't get any vid's of the MWRCA comp, alot of digital photo's though that some of (so far) are posted in the MWRCA comp results, a few guys have yet to post their pic's. We didn't get time to do much with the puller, or the sand drags. We did pull a little around the campsite Fri night ( no pic's) and that puller made it easy. A weekend is just too short to do crawling, pulling, and sand drags, we found that out. I took 4th in the 2.2 class with the P4, broke an axle in One clod, and had motor trouble in the other, so I didn't do very well there. It was a great time, I hope some of you guys will think about coming next time? It's worth a drive like that (to me) to get to meet/compete, and bash with the guys you just see on the board, besides, new cool crawling areas are always fun ;-)

Some sweet pics from the mwrca comp! Looks like you guys had a blast. And you even found some mud to bogg through :)

Yeah, it was a great time, met some nice guys and had a blast. RD400 should be posting a bunch more pic's soon, his wife took 178 pic's, and the Clodking also took a bunch. I'm sure most were too tired after the long weekend to get anything posted, plus going through 178 pic's to pick out the best to post will take a while.

So...... who doesn't have plans for the up coming weekend, and wants to do some crawling?
