any crawlers in MN?

I'll be retired from the Army and back in Wi in a couple months. I definitely plan on coming to a couple of the comps."thumbsup"

Hey dirtyal,
That sounds like a plan "thumbsup" Won't be long before spring will be here and we'll be back crawling at Taylors Falls on the MN side. The rangers on the Wis. side don't appreciate us.. It's a really great crawl site. We have a bunch of really nice members who are very helpful if your thinking about getting started. All you got to do is post up your questions about the club right here and the search option has a lot of really good information, but it requires patience to use successfully. I started looking at this site a year ago and spent weeks reading and developing a knowledge base. I'm ex Army myself that happened about 40 yrs ago in the Vietnam era.

I'll be living about 45min away from Taylors Falls. I've only been in the Army for 6 years. I just recieved the paperwork telling me I'm getting medically retired yesterday. I'm in Germany at the moment. The R/C scene sucks here unless your into on-road si I've never been to any kind of comp. I'm really looking forward to it.

Well sounds like a pension to me that's not all bad. 45 minuets away you'll be able to practice there. I think if you go into the Wis side by yourself or a small group it would be cool, for some reason I guess they don't like the big group. There's lost of really nice crawling there. Have you checked out the video section here yet, it's got some comp footage for you.

If the place I'm trying to buy goes through, I'm building a 1/8th track and a crawler area in my back yard. I'll be scouting the local quarrys as well."thumbsup"

Party at you place "thumbsup" that sounds good I live in Edina (SW Mpls) and defiantly no room for a track and little opportunity for a Crawling area. My wife is in charge of the landscaping I've dropped a couple of hints about a rock garden but got the deaf treatment.

Hello to the north west

Hey guys,

Stormin popped in on a thread I was talking on about Wisconsin Crawlers. I am trying to get hooked up with people willing to crawl in my home state. While there are only a handfull of people I have been able to find. If you are willing to drive to WI and want someone to to crwal with feel free to PM me. I also hope to have some Get togethers this spring with anyone looking to meet up

Later all,
Justin the carcrafter.

Great club

I am from Wisconsin also. I participated in the last comp of the season with a box stock Axial. Thanks to all of the people who helped me on my first runs and made it such an enjoyable time. I will definatly be back for the '08 season.
Dirtyal, where are you buying? I live in New Richmond and am always looking to run. I have 1/8 scale nitro also.

Have you ever been to Ricks Hobby Farm south of New Richmond?
We have a race track, flying field, boat pond, and I just asked Rick about setting up a crawling area, and he told me go ahead. Would just be stacked rocks, logs and such but I think it could be fun.

Let me know if you are interested or have ?s about it.

I'm looking at a house in Prairie Farm right now. I didnt know there was anything in New Richmond. I havent been back home in about 4 years and I just got into R/C about 2 years ago. Makes me happy knowing there is something close. Before your post the closest track I have been able to find is in Thorp. I will definitely be hitting up your local track though.
