any crawlers in MN?

Hey y'all can you make any reccomendations for must crawl places for us wannabe tourists?
I am going to be driving out to Minnesota next month for a wedding and I am planning on being out there from the 15th to the 18th and would like to sample the best of the North"thumbsup"

Oh, I could have sworn I saw in one thread you have a comp on the 15th but for the life of me I cannot find that thread now. Is that still on?

Hey Slugz, we've got a comp on the 15th of July... but if your asking about August, we've got a comp on the 12th and 26th. If your not up here for one of our comps, I'm sure a few of us would be able to show you a spot or two.;-) We've got an great spot that we use for comps in Taylors Falls. There's also a new scaler spot in Stillwater. Or we could always take you along the Nicklepimp Ridge at WinchHell Trail. Dieselfuel really liked that one.

12th, yeah, it helps if I tell the computer to display the correct month:lol:
The 12th is perfect as I would be leaving the friday before and in theory rolling into the park Saturday afternoon.

"winchHell trail" sounds good:lol:

Sweet! We look forward to having you up here.

B.T.W. Faygo... a reference to ICP or you just like the cola that much?
Just a cola fan. My family is from Michigan so they more or less grew up with it and every time one of us is out that way we stock up and haul it back to Colorado 8) I have one Rock&Rye left in my fridge but that will probably be gone on the 4th.

Adogg It is nice to hear from you. I have to sell one rig. I need the money. Also I have not been to the comps because of the distance. The other half said it was just to much. Also I will be building another 2.2. This one will be a TLT though. If any one is interested I would also be willing to take a partial trade on my truck.

Sure, just when you finally get your own forum section for the PTI
you're selling it ;-)
You could always drive up to the cities and hook a ride from there? You'd save almost half the distance/gas.

A slow day and the MNRCRC Thread

Hey Guys,

First of all Happy 4th  I have been under the weather last couple of days so I decided to read the MNRCRC (Kevin sent it to me) thread from beging to end. I have to say it helped me to see the efforts you all have made. You have consistantly worked hard to build a upper midwest Crawler group.

I now understand your history and have a better understanding of who's played the big roles in the MNRCRC. I'm glad and thankful to be a recipient of those efforts. For me this is not about compeating, trust me I will do my best to enjoy crawling and the hang with the gang but I'm realistic. I think that your efforts supporting not one but now two disabled people in chairs says alot about you all. (I'm just guessing that is uncommon :?: )

Taylors Falls has it all scenery, rocks (in good scale), hiking trails, a cute small town (for the non competitors) and occasional spectators to help make your location one of interest. It's a family experiance not just a bunch of guys with small trucks. It was a great choice for your comps. Sounds like we have company from Colorado for the 15th comp (no shortage of sites there), I would love to hear their opinion of this location and the MNRCRC experiance. You are all doing a great job.

I also need to mention the depth of this website as a learnig tool. I have enjoyed and been captured for hours reading and searching the information held within. I have had very little need to post a question as the search option consistantly delivers the answers to whatever question or problem that develops. The how to's with pictures, the vendor section is full of helpful, fast to deliver sites and people who stand behind their products and hobby sport. My observation and guess is this hobby sport will continue to grow.

Good Job MNRCRC, www.RCCrawler.com and all it's contributors.

Well Thanks stormin'

i was there from the 1st meeting (i think) , and i've watched out club grow like wild fire , on my crew we have a 3 generation family , my dad-Maddjack , son Chace, and myself , its a great excuse to get out and spend time with the family and friends

Your very welcome Pro Beater !

I think this club has done a very nice job of getting things set up. It wasn't till yesterday reading the thread that I was able to see the history. I don't know if you've regonized the fact that the MNRCRC thread is one of the most used. 34 thousand + hits very impressive.

I think your comp location is exceptional. "thumbsup"

I look forward to being part of MNRCRC. I'm absolutly lousy at crawling, I didn't even finish my comp. I still really enjoyed my day as did my wife. We both thought it was a great experiance and found it entertaining. We also noticed how people just passing threw thought it was fun to watch.

Great group of people. Did I meet you at the last comp :?: If not I look forward to that soon.

I'm trying to convince "lil Deb" to go on Friday but I'm not sure she will give me "hall pass" as I have not been feeling well. I'll PM you tommorrow if I get sut down. Right now I'd give Sunday a better chance.

I really appreciate your offer to practice with me, as I really need it I didn't even finish my comp at our last club event. "thumbsup"
