any crawlers in MN?

I wasn't talking scale comps Ben, I was talking about the 2.2 comps. I wouldn't be able to compete at the same level as I can with the gopher, but I could place with it if I tossed mashers on it.

Just hope they nail the compound, otherwise they are no better in my book then any other 1.9. In my opinion, swampers and boggers are so overdone already why not think outside the box a little.

I think the TSL was the best tire to make. If you look at most trail trucks, that is one of the most used tires out there. A lot of BFG's as well, but we already have that tire from Tamiya.

Here's some pics of my new P4 V2 i just got done putting together tonight.

Yeah I should have my scale truck back together by the comp, I stole everything from my scaler except the chassis and links. So i will start putting that together this week.

6-6-06 Just a reminder.
The Mn summer comp series kicks off this coming Saturday.
Location will be Cannon Falls.
Tech and drivers meeting starts at 11:00am.
First truck through the gates at 12:00.
This is the first of a series of 8 comps, we will be using the best of 6 for your summer points total. You're encouraged to try and make all 8, so you can choose your best 6 finishes for your points total.

There will be prizes at the end of the series generously donated by some vendors here at RCC.
Be there or be square!!!

Todays retro post.
Our club leaders
I think I was the "bug's" he was talking about.
Guess it's a good thing we didn't rely on these 2 to get things orginized for MNRCRC.

O.k. Now that the "bugs" have need taken care of, Myself and Rerock invite anyone around to an informal GTG. It will be on Sat. 3/11 at 2p.m. We will meet in front of SEARS at the Burnsville mall. I would really like to see some new faces there and hope all can show up. If anyone needs directions or would just like to give a heads up that they might be late or anything feel free to PM me.

See you all Sunday "thumbsup"
Well.......... Not all of you

hey all, I'm baaaaack!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I've been having alot of serious shat goin down. So lets just say I got divorced from a woman I've never married!? troy, if your still interested in the esc and motors, I do still have them. I will be also there at the GTG on the 29th, just to show yall how its done.:-P :flipoff: I want to get my maxx crawler finished, but thats not lookin like its gonna be happining, I also have to get the TQ3 finished for eric. I'll try to frequent here a lil more often, and try to be a lil more active role here.

What do you guys say at this meeting that we take some time and have a meeting about the direction and focus of our "MN collaborative crawlers" group. It would be a good idea to have a direction if we are going to start our own club. I think we could benefit from a business plan. Maybe spend some time talking about position elections. I know Jay and I, along with Troy, all kind of got the ball rolling about a MN crawling group, but I would like to see it take off and be successful, and maybe there is someone out there who could do a better job, or has more time to invest than me or others. Thoughts on maybe a 6wk summer crawling season? Maybe we could partner with MWRCA and hold travelling events? The "superbowl" could be held at one place every year? Just throwing out ideas to get gears turning.

I like the idea of creating a plan and being more organized. The more coordinated we are, the easier it will be to become an 'official club'. Also an agreement on the official title would be appropriate. What about a logo after the name descision? By the way I'm willing to help out in any way I can; I'm usually checking this site every day or so.

Finally got my DX3 receiver and my LRP ESC back from repair. Also picked up another AR7000 receiver for the DX7. I'm going to set up the Super with duel ESC's :) Probably not going to try it until after tomorrows comp, we'll see if I have time today/tonight. I'm 1:1 car shopping today, and have 2 BBQ invites for tonight, I hope to hit them both for at least a bit, if I don't get engrossed in setting up this super.
Haven't been car shopping since I bought 2 new Fords (car/truck) in '97' I forgot how bad I hated it. The internet does make it easier for checking out features, etc. I'm not going to buy brand new, more like 2-3 yrs old, and I'm looking for fuel mileage over anything else. Mike and I went down to the MWRCA comp last weekend, and it was pretty expensive for fuel @ $3.00+ a gal. I'd like to be able to run to some more out of town/state comps at about half that fuel cost. My sister drove out to Denver and back skiing, in her VW jetta or GTi or whatever model it is? and spent $198 round trip with fuel at about $2.75 a gal.
I'm looking for something in the 30 mpg range, American brand, and preferably in the Ford family. Eyeing the Focus wagons right now, although I'm test driving the new Jeep products today.
See you tomorrow, hopefully it starts out as nice as this morning "thumbsup"

Well guys, I shaved my balls tonight."thumbsup"

My ball cups that is. It turns so much better. It doesn't take a football field for it to turn around. My trucks a little droopy tonight. I'm gonna how see it goes and if I don't like it I'll change it back. My truck sits so low now, it looks like a low rider.
