I think I would rather go exploring for a better scale comp location, in the southern areas of our fine state. But I am not sure if I want to travel much this weekend yet, I'll have a better idea of what I want to do Thursday or Friday.
well its official ive worn out my first tlt axle well at least the ring an pinion. now with any load on the front axle the just slip well actually you hardly need a load anymore a too throttle just motoring along will make it slip.:-( i guess this is what i get for abusing it and taking the hardest lines i can find. but hey thats what i built it for.
Wow... I had some slipping issues with mine a couple months ago. But that ended up being because I didn't have the eclips on the inside, it was fine once I put the clips back in place.
After talking with Troy today, we might head down south to check for some scale comp locations, maybe even normal comp locations to mix it up a bit. We will be checking out state parks along south highway 61.
You need the internal diff guts and cover too. Unless you can pound the old one out without damaging it. Maybe you can heat the ring gear up to loosen the epoxy.
if it is a regular comp i can go as long as casey can make it. redwing is wayyyy to far south for my parents to drive. i might as well go to duluth than go that distance.
i like duluth, and maybe i could convince my parents because they like it up there alot, and my sister is there. my sister is renting a house until next fall when college begins again.
Ok Sunday it is, and we will be going south along hwy 61 looking for places we could hold a scale comp. We will have to check out the places towards Duluth another weekend, not on a Holiday weekend though
