ANTIGACHO following the sendero

one steep closer to finish this project, new tires

I am also working on a custom 3d printed grill for the proline power wagon body

skully.jpg

I will share this on thingiverse later

Now I have to find a way to mount the body I dont want to use exposed body clips

after that I have to paint the body, I would like a rusty look but I am not sure yet

So I designed a magnetic front body mount for this project

I take a lot of measures but fortunately my first printing attempt was successful,

the fit between chassis rails is perfect but some sanding is required for squared post, anyway the sandind helps for better appareance

The STL file is available for free at Thingiverse

I recommend print it in PETG for durability 90% infill

It needs 3 neodymium magnets to be completed

INCHES
0.50 X 0.20
MM
12.70 X 5.08

you also will need 4 Knurled Brass Threaded Inserts (m3 size),

you can heat the brass insert using a lighter and then mount it in place

this project is close to be finished, Unfortunately I noticed that the "hey ok servo winch" fails, I definitely do not recommend that brand it was barely used and now it doesn't work now I am debatins If I have to buils my own servo winch or order the Reefs RC 422HDv2 Servo Winch instead

finally, for painting, I am planning something similar to this:

I am a slow builder but this project is almost ready

I just need to install the custom spotlights
then trim and paint the body

some photos

powder coating to the recently build bumpers

winch upgrade (Reefs RC 422HDv2 Servo Winch) and skull cap for the 3d printed receiver box

I made some custom 3d printed spotlights, those LEDs work at 12v so I need more voltage from the receiver, that's why I'm using the MT3608 DC-DC Step Up Power Module for Arduino

more pictures soon

I notice that the cable output on my previous 3d printed spotlight design was wrong
so I printed it again and finally installed the lights

That paint job looks great! Any chance you have more pictures of soldering work? I have a lot of trouble keeping my parts in place, moving, etc. Keep up the great work!
