719 Scale RC 4x4 Thread/Trail Runs/Rigs etc..

Shout out to The Crawl Space for throwing another awesome scale adventure. It was a first time running at Coal Creek and I must say it was a great change of scenery and terrain. The course had a 101 gates consisting of 2 laps around. The first part was easy with basic obstacles this leading into a good rocky hill climb. Second half was getting tougher with tight notches and some tallish drop downs. The last part was the toughest with loose rutted climbs and intense vertical faces to climb up. Everyone had a blast and finished the course. ..the mog got a good butt kicking but soldiered thru. Glad we had almost 10 people representing the Springs consisting of both soco crawlers and 719 Scalers. Way to go guys!

This rig is insane. ..

Finally a spare moment to make a post! My Gelande II rocking 1.9 Rock Creeper tires (95mm Tall) and 90mm Pro-line shocks. Those shocks are like butter... But were just a tad much for my rig.

Well, I was REALLY hoping to paint today, but I got my XVD's and new gears installed... To discover the mounting holes on one side for the steering knuckle, stripped bloody smooth, not a sign of a thread. I might try tapping it, but this one little issue leaves me completely borked, without a ENTIRE replacement axle housing... WTF?! Time for RC4WD to get a pissy email, I'm already Driveshafts, XVDs, new gear set, new servo, into this thing and thats not counting the worthless shocks.

You work hard. You get to play hard and that's why I have nice toys because I bust my ass for them. So don't be jealous of me son. Don't hate the player, hate the way You decided to play the game.

I suppose after having a SCX-10 for so long I was spoiled lol. And I did abuse the thing, testing 90mm shocks, tons of weight in the wheels etc etc. I just did not expect to see aluminum tear up that fast. I got a new housing coming (On sale, yay!), along with the tougher brass bushings. And since I am a little more demanding of my Gelande 2, I got a set of the Trail Finder 2 knuckles and front steering bar as well. "thumbsup"
