1:1 Tire scale replica request thread

i just ordered those Mickey Thompson Baja Pro X and i am super excited!

Likewise - I'm thinking they may need to go on a set of those new Boom Racing ProBuild multi-piece adjustable offset wheels..."thumbsup"

Looks like we got 'em ordered just in time!

Now I just need to decide on which vehicle they'll go on first... "thumbsup"

Got lotsa new projects happening.

Perhaps some BFG Baja T/As? They are kind of a pointless crawler tire, but would be nice on some desert racing and trail rigs. Love the look of them too.

(ok this was a big image sorry..)

I am super-stoked...

After emailing RC4WD regarding the new Mickey Thompson Baja Pro tires, I just found out they have released scale versions as well as a couple of other new tires:

Advanced X2S³ Compound
Fits 1.7" Wheels
Outer Diameter: 4.20in / 106.8mm
Width: 1.61in / 40.9mm
Inner Diameter: 1.70in / 43.2mm
Each Tire Weigh: 2.62oz / 74.5g

Did they mention plans for 4.75/1.9s?

No, they are closed-mouthed about products coming in the future.

I have my set, and the Boom Racing ProBuilds - but I need to finish the rig they will go on first!

I'd like to see BFG KO2 in 1.55 x 3.5 and 1.7 x 3.7, for the perfect scale tires. I think the TSL Thornbirds would also look awesome as a 1.55 x 3.6.

...and

We got 'em in the bigger size, now!

2.0" wide, to boot!

Went to their site ready to order and seen 10$ shipping! Might wait and see if some pop up on eBay, usually stuff is better on shipping costs there

I went ahead and ordered a set direct - had a couple other things I needed and I get a veteran's discount that makes up for the shipping...

Now I need to find another set of wheels I want!

"thumbsup"

I’d love to see some tires that have bigger wheel openings, less sidewall and WIDE!! Just like a 1:1, not everyone likes 18” wheel on 37s. I do, but I also like bigger wheel trucks as well.

Like maybe a 2.6” wheel/tire with a 2.2” wheel diameter with a smaller sidewall. Sorry if that didn’t make any since lmao.

I’d love to have a build with these kind of wheel specs.

(throws up in mouth a little...)

Whenever CEN Racing releases the parts for their F450 DLR, then you can try those:

Good luck finding me rock crawling it lol.

Seriously, it would be just a hauler maybe? But not a rock crawling truck.

Aren’t those pretty small wheels? I do like them, but I think the tires look like toy grade.

I don’t know, I think it would be a cool build.

You guys really don’t think that looks good? I’d love to see more RCs like that.

They may sell the tires separate - as for details on the inner diameter, so that you know what wheels they might fit - I have no earthly idea.

Keep an eye out, as the CEN dually is a brand new release, so it may take a while for them to show up.

Mall crawlers make me gag, but that's just my humble opinion - even the 1:1 rigs look toy-grade!

I'm unable to stop laughing when I see those big trucks with low-profile tires (even with aggressive treads) get stuck on stuff a stock Subaru Outback would cruise right through.

Agreed, it is pretty funny when they “go offroad”

I would even be happy with some wheels/tires like this.

I believe the wheel diameter is 2.6, saw it in a YouTube review.

...

I’ll never understand lo-pro mud grips.

Wow, those are bigger than they look, probably because the massive 450 body.

Well, lets get this clear since some don't get the point. There not built like this to go offroad. While "low profile" MTs look pointless, trust me, it looks a lot better than these guys running street tires lifted. If this had some MTs, it would look really, really good.
