Optic Kit Coming

One one of the Fakebook groups for the H10, one H10 owner used a couple 2 or 3mm spacers on the aluminum posts and a few longer screws to push the spur side out a few mm so he could shoehorn in a HW3300kv AXE Motor. He also used a 4 or 5mm spacker on the bottom mount to tilt it up a bit. runs no spur cover and he used a flat cheap slipper eliminator on the shaft to allow the room for the forward shift don't he spur shaft.
He said he's been running it for a few months with no problems, so there are some ways to shoehorn in these slightly longer 550 BL Cans.
I almost grabbed a 3300 combo, but opted for the 2800kv combo as I didn't really want to have to mod much being this is my full on 1st Vanquish kit/build/rig.

I need some bronze 2.2 battle born sierras for mine. Still thinking Trepadors for tires. My son's is getting 2.2 TSLs (the 5.25") that i had laying around and some Chanquish Methods.

Still haven't seen any of the Carbon fiber panels hitting the sale site to know what they will bring. Got some secondhand info about a set that sold for 250.

I'm still leaning towards Treps for mine. Definitely not my favorite tread pattern, but the height seems perfect for this rig.

$250 is a steal for that carbon set!

There is an aftermarket kit coming out and the price is $300. Considering a full Carbon fiber body is about $375, i feel like that's a bit high.

Frankly the carbon body price that was paid sounds insane to me.

The Meus aluminum body with LED headlights is only $150, and it's gorgeous - multiple colors available.

MEUS Racing Aluminum Hood Grille Panel Set With Headlights For Vanquis

The H-Tech is $249, very nice as well - but no headlight for $100 more?

RC 1/10 Aluminum Grill & Panel Set For Vanquish H10 OPTIC

Anyways, just my opinion!
H-tech's panels are a bit closer to original design where Meus's has bit longer snoot on the hood that stands the grill up a bit for headlight clearance. H-tech relies on their servo/bumper mount to create the clearance behind the grill instead. Maybe the $100 extra comes from the vent inlays on the hood? 😝

WOW, so, if you get lucky, and get the CF panel livery which is on the ? and you sell it for $250?

Vanquish sure has some overly fanatical followers...

I have many Vanquish upgrade parts on my Bomber, including a set of used SHR Vintage wheels (that I got cheap) and a spare set of Incision wheels, but until I was able to score the Optic RTR for $100 off I've never given them a lot of money.

I have a guy local to me that buys and sells all kinds of limited edition Vanquish stuff. He showed me where one of his buddies bought a set for 250. That is the only set that I have seen a sale price on so I dont know if that is the going rate or if someone (buyer or seller) got screwed.

I'm not sure what I'm going to do with mine. Kinda want to sell, kinda want to hang onto them.

Well my kit showed up today!

I got green...

Heres to hoping the other colors release soon

Now to decide what ESC and Motor Setup to run. Kinda thinking maybe the Hobbywing 2in1 ESC Motor Combo? or you guys think the old reliable 1080 and 550 trailmaster motor from Holmes will suffice? Does a 550 can size fit? I need to re read what everyone else has been throwing in...

Power plant is going to be personal. Are you a throttle jockey that likes speed and instant punch? If so, you definitely want brushless. If you are a sedate trail guy, then the old and reliable brushed stuff is fine. I'm throwing in a Fusion Pro 2300kv.

HobbyWing says the Fusion Pro is 58mm and Holmes says the CrawlMaster and TrailMaster 550 are 57mm so the 550 should definitely fit.

Soon hopefully, those sweet other colors will be available

Not really a throttle jockey. I have the castle copperhead? In a bomber...not much other than its bonkers and I anticipate things breaking eventually. All of my trail trucks have the 550 21 or 27t Trailmasters and 1080s or a decent ESC powering the brushed motor.

This thing appears to be close in size to my SCX10.2 Jeep, or SCX10.3 Gladiator. I suppose I could run the usual set up and do some research on the 2300kv brushless.

Not looking to mud bog or hit jumps, just general trail and rock garden crawling. Figured Id ask though because the Brushless and the 2 in 1s are definitely intriguing...

Got my kit today and it is……….

the gray Vanquish livery.

Disappointed since it is the only straight up boring option. Honestly, I would have rather gotten something ugly and interesting than bland and boring.
Haven't seen too many of those posted.

And the brushless 2-in-1 can put along at trail speeds and crawl super slowly as well.

Those are the ones that could have the CF Panels in them.

Not saw many of the greys yet. More CF sets than grey panels for me.

So the kit is only $350 now if you use the $30 off coupon. Hmmmmm

Anyone else having issues sending emails to vanquish? The first one I sent thru there website went just fine. They responded to my yahoo account, but anything else I try to send from yahoo fails. I'm not super computer literate. Just trying to figure out if the issue is on my end or theirs?

Sorry for the distraction.

Really wish they had a phone # so I could just talk to a person and arrange to send them the curved input shaft in exchange for one that functions properly. I know, how old school of me.

Can someone verify the slipper clutch fits behind the stock gear cover? If so I may just order one since it comes with an input shaft.

My alieexpress third members came in from china today. The same day i got my plastic versions from vanquish. USPS is something else.

Anyway, they look pretty good. Minor machining marks on them but not too noticeable unless you look at them close. The finish is nice. Ill maybe build an axle later to see how the fitment is.
