Puller Pro Brushless 4 pole Rock Crawler motors- Lay down the Power!

Re: Puller Pro Brushless 4 pole Sensored motors- Lays down the Power!

I recieved my 3500kv puller pro and mamba x esc and got instslled and running in my bomber with 11/68 gearing single speed on 3s I have too say I couldn't be happier. Slow and steady and fast in the same motor. Been playing with the settings but being able to turn the drag brake off and on is great and the power this motor puts out is crazy.
I now think I'm going to change my wraith next. running 10/58 gearing on 3s do you think I would be better with the puller pro 2200 or 2700. No need to be as fast like my bomber since it's more for slow use.

As a wraith pilot running a 3500 on 3s 10/58 go with the 2700.
I have great fun with this combo, and wheel speed. I’m going to drop to a 9 just to slow reverse down, more than anything.
If you want to go to 4s, then go 2200

Re: Puller Pro Brushless 4 pole Sensored motors- Lays down the Power!

Hi, can you recommend where to start gearing a Puller Pro R with a MMX in a Yeti on 3s? I was thinking 13/64? Any help would be appreciated

Sounds like a good start. You can really gear it about anywhere, the battery will care much more than the motor.

1400kv revolver 540 and sidewinder 4 would be really sweet in that rig.

Motor on the way from you for the Capo 8x8. Going with the Castle Sidewinder 4 as you recommended.

Thanks
Again!

I am trying to decide between the Puller Pro 540 Standard 3500kv and the 540-L Crawler which is 4100kv. It will go in my Bomber, on 3s with a Mamba Monster X. (I have built two other Bombers using Mamba X with Yeti 3150kv for the kids). I want to build one for me for hiking, trailing and crawling (but not hard core technical crawling) and want more low end control and with at least the same top end .While there is plenty of user experience on the 3500, I am having a hard time finding user experience with the 4100. Is anyone using the 4100 that could share their experience? or John, could you help with the decision? Does the 4100 give up anything to the 3500 or is it purely the kv?

The 4100 is for racing. Since you aren’t racing, I don’t suggest it. The 3500 and 2700 is better suited for daily trail use.

The downside to the 4100kv is mostly that it puts the hurt on escs. Fine for 7 minute races. Not good for 45 minutes or more crawling.

John,

What motor-esc would you put in a TF2 Marlin Crawler C1 comp/trail rig?

Thanks
