lol maxamps, biggest bullshit in the battery world
No battery manufacturer I've used has been perfect. I don't expect them to be.
But all in all Rc batteries are substandard cells that computer and power tool companies will not buy its just a fact of life.
Maybe not real common in power tools, but there are several million iPads and Ultrabook computers out there that use lipo batteries.I don't think anyone is expecting any mfg to be perfect, just that they all use the same standards.
There aren't any power tools in the US that I am aware of that use lipo. Since they are the more volatile, least stable of the lithium options, they are the least fit for mass consumer electronics.
I like boobs, and pie, and bacon.

I am pretty sure Apple products use lithium ion batteries. Again because they are more stable.
By the knee jerk reactions I see posted here (and elsewhere) about things not perfect, I'll disagree with ya.

I can't read much into it other than a good reason not to set LVC to 3.4V/cell.i still like this page when it comes to lipo c-ratings...
SMC is no different than others as we also use inflated C rates as we have no choice.
in this report from NTSB[/url] (regarding Boeing Dreamliner battery fires). Even when Yuasa manufacture batteries that lives depend on they use(d) substandard processes.
