Specs not listed on the site include Brazed termination, epoxy balancing, 5mm web and 10mm comm, and other finer details that average people don't care to read. As you may notice on the site, there is only the option of motor speed. Everything has been optimized by Team Holmes for peak performance in this weight class. All you REALLY need to know is that they are light, powerful, and the best value available in high performance crawling motors.
I just ordered a pair. Thanks for your initial review, Joel. "thumbsup" I am excited to run these in my Berg.
Hey Joel, the bodies are the same as the scx10 shock bodies on height, but can easily be cut to fit anyone's preferences which is why I love these things. I have all parts on order but some items are back ordered through my distributor.
The pistons are AXI30132
Shock shafts AXI30146
And caps AXI80029
I suggest using associated green slime or equivalent on all the shock shafts and o-rings, oil preferences varies with driver. I have found 50wt works for me. I will post a picture for you tonight showing the o-ring installation
Gracias compadre. Look forward to some pics. I recall SDS fighting the clip installation for a while on each shock that night in Wendover I believe.

Split ring pliers bromo.
Channel Lock 3927 FTW!
Gracias. I actually think I have a pair somewhere. They came with a small blue pouch of different tips/points I believe. I'll do some digging.

Ghetto fab:ror: Works Fabulousmusly:lmao:
Very nice write-up Joel! It's always good to see a detailed break down on the differences between setups and which changes affect different variables.
Good write up Joel and I completely agree. The V5 is where I'm at now with my Sporty motor and loving it!
I hope to have it this week. Looking forward to it. What's in your pro rig?
Still running some stage 3 lightened 540, 13t, 5seg, fatties. I just can't get away from them! Every time I drive the rig I'm reminded how much I love those motors.
Smooth as silk start-up and more than enough wheelspeed for sweet jumps :ror:
I may change them out one of these days for some new hotness, but then again...maybe not. ;-)
