The trick is when does a vehicle become a new rig

It's not when it becomes a new rig, it's is it the same rig! How do you guys judge it now Fish???? If I show up at ECC with my comp 2.2 rig and run the 2.2 class with it then put longer links on it, wheel wideners, and a different set of wheels on it can I run it in super class? It's still the same rig, I just adjusted it!The trick is when does a vehicle become a new rig
I think when you build it to be out of spec for the 2.2 class and in spec for the super class , then it is a new rig. It's not when it becomes a new rig, it's is it the same rig! So you can make changes at a comp to one rig to run in another class then is what you saying?I think when you build it to be out of spec for the 2.2 class and in spec for the super class , then it is a new rig.

If you came to one of my comps and ran your 2.2, then went to the pits and changed the links and tires and wheels to be in spec with the super class. In my opinion as the rule is writen ,I can't see how that would be the same rig.
The specs say what 2.2 rig is and what a super is, how could you meet the specs of both classes with the same rig.
We have a asshole in here already ,but there's room for more.:lol:Are you guys having fun w/0 me again?
I'll add that to my notes as a judge:ror: I'm thinking about getting a I-Phone app made for me so I can keep up with all the rules that I comp all year long!If you came to one of my comps and ran your 2.2, then went to the pits and changed the links and tires and wheels to be in spec with the super class. I would doubt that anyone would wana tear their dialed in 2.2's and have to rebuild it for super class at every comp, then back to 2.2 again though! And if you were doing 4WS that would be a pain as well to add the servo, take the lockouts off, add the steering links.

Just get a PDF reader, and you will have the rules on your phone
No, the overall goal is not to do away with supers, its to recreate a premier class.
I personally feel this could replace the ''super'' class as it allows people to build a more advanced and capable rig with parts they might have now or that are easily available. While this would eliminate the ''super'' as you all know it the spirit and feel of the super class remains in this as there are very few limitations on suspension design.
