ive just been exposed to rc rock crawling and i was wondering if anybody made a body of an 87ish suzuki samurai body? i thought it would be neat to build one to match my zuk.

I don't know why someone doesn't make a sammy body. 1/8 scale. They are a very popular 1:1 off roader and they are old enough that they shouldn't have copywrite issues. I know they would fly off the shelfs. But they would have to make them in a good size, and I know that they would probably make it way small. Like just big enough to cover an ax10 chassis.

yeah - i'm getting tired of waiting. i looked through my old japanese "super suzy" magazines and found a paper model. scaled it up and mocked it up with foam core. 1/8 scale looks about right, but i'll need to get some 1.9's to make it work. axial axles look a bit too wide though...might have to use the tlts... final plan is to use styrene for the body.

I would kill for a Sami body. They are my favorite offroad vehicle of all time.

Man that's cool! If you could make that hard enough to be a mold you could use fiberglass to make one. Fill that one with plaster of paris, pull it out, wax it up pour more over it, seperate them and then lay the 'glass inside and when it's dry you got a hard body for a scaler! You might check my process but I think thats how it's done."thumbsup"

thanks man... i'm on my way. planning to get some lexan bodies going."thumbsup"

The hard part about that will be the cost in building a vacuum former that can handle something of that size. I saw some plans to build one for around 250-350 bucks but it only handled 12x18

I would like to see the 80's square fender Toyota body and 4runner too those are way popular 1:1 and yet no bodies or toys either
