Wraith Beginners Guide

What a great thread!

I just purchased my first wraith yesterday and I already want to mod it! I bought this thing to turn into a slow speed crawler. I'm not into the go fast part of it. I want torque and low speed control. I read this whole thread and I'm a lil confused about what my motor needs are. What do I need to get this thing to crawl slow and have some more torque? New motor? Gears? Both?

Thanks!

Both. Go read the motor and ESC thread. You'll want to grab a 35t motor and regear.

Well I decided to make sure all the bolts were tight on my wraith since I bought a rtr. In my efforts I found that the bolts holding the knuckle to the c-hub on the right front were stripped fresh out of the box. Called the place I bought it from and they didn't have any in stock but said they would order them and replace the broken one for free. Can't play with it til then....

:x

Bought me used wraith off the classified "thumbsup". Looking on putting some Vanquish Products SLW V1 respun on the truck. Now do I vent wheels or tires? Thanks for the help

Throw some super glue on the screw and thread it back in. It will hold well enough to play with for a few days.

I thought about doing that but I want the LHS that I bought this from to take care of me on it because it was like that outta the box. I dont want them to tell me that they wont because of the glue.

I called them and told them what happened and they said they have to order the part and will call me when it comes in which is wednesday. I think im just gonna order metal c-hubs and knuckles for the thing since the plastic crap is going to break anyways.

I don't see any reason that should cause any extra hassle. I'd get it fixed and run it until the parts came in.

Yea I guess it wouldnt. So just regular ole super glue will do the trick?

I also want to get my hands on some extra hardware for this thing. I clicked on the link in your sig Harley and noticed to sell big bags of hardware. Will that stuff work on the wraiths?

Yup regular super glue will do the trick. It should hold it just fine for the time being.

Yes my hardware kits are very general purpose. You could replace almost everything on the Wraith several times with the amount in one kit.

You should be on Axial's payroll Harley, just for the help you offer here.
To say thanks, I just ordered your Stainless HD hardware kit.

Hi Harley this being so helpfull. I´m waiting my Wraith kit to come, I have some power plants and some gear options and I need some help. I have a catle SCT system, but i like to trail/crawl a lot so... I have a Schuur Speed 21.5T it says it´s intented to be use with Racing 1/10 buggy/truck so I dont know if it wont brake up, maybe I Swap the tekin 35T pro on my dingo, and use the schuur speed motor with a sensored esc on the dingo. For the gears I have the stock 13T from SCT, also a 17T and stock 20T, also a 87T spur, I live in Colombia, so info and shopping its not near easy as for other´s so I really appreciate your help, thx

You will need an ESC with drag brake. Not sure what that system you are speaking of has.

As for gearing, the motor and ESC thread at the top of this forum section with have lots of info on the first page for you.
