Anybody running the old Wraith 2.2s?

Here is mine, it sat for a while (since Christmas 2019) but it is up and going again.

It may end up as a mud rig.

Savox 1212 servo (about to die)
MambaX
HH 3300 Trail pro.

I ran today and yesterday with a new friend and he has a fully built wraith... Super shafty 6mm axles, vanquish front end, brushless, 3s ect...

It started life as a Wraith Spawn, lol...

Not a single thing on this truck is made by axial, but it's still a 2.2 Wraith. Such a fun truck to crawl/bash.

Also, I'm not seeing any pictures in the first post. Copied and pasted the URL and still nothing. I dunno.

I assume than yours is a Wraith design aftermakret for the Wraith. The second post asks about my steering so they see it.

I will try again:

Hell ya! Bought mine as a kit back in 2011. It's still all stock, running a Hobbywing quickrun sensored brushless motor and ESC. I don't bash it around hard just some rock crawling and trail driving. Had to have one after seeing it in Parker Arizona at a vendor booth during an off road race, Parker 425, way back then. Wow, didn't realize it's 10 years old now.

Axial out did themselves by modeling it after the Poison Spyder 1:1. The looks of the tube chassis and how it articulates is amazing. Being a fan of off road desert racing and back then the up and coming rock crawling racing sold me. The only thing that has broken on it was the front bumper, it has taken a fair amount of falls and roll overs. The bottoms of the axles, skid plate and Wild Bore drivshafts are showing a lot of abuse.

Cool rig!

Here's mine. These days mine spends it's days just sitting on the shelf.

I was late to the game, but I love my wraith. Of course all my stuff is 2.2.

I’ll jump in on this one…

My first Axial truck and first crawler was a Wraith Spawn, and I haven’t been driving it a ton lately as I was stuck in the middle of a couple rebuild projects on it and have been focused on my Element and my kid’s 1.9 Wraith.

It’s got a ton of Vanquish/Incision parts under the hood — axle shafts, knuckles, links, wheels, locker spools and gears — as well as a Castle Mamba X running WAY too much motor for its own good. The original servo lasted about an hour, and the Savox 1211 in there has held up surprisingly well. It needs be geared way back to crawl smoothly, but it’s an absolute blast to fly over the rocks. It needs shocks and a lowering kit, and I’m waiting for the original RTR gearbox to explode (it’s been good so far!), but I think this one’s gonna get a lot more trail time in the near future. I was so hung up on building a ‘serious’ 4.19” Class 1-ish truck that I forgot just how much fun a giant goofy 2.2 rig can be!

Pretty sick ones here. I was able to pick up a “box” of parts that is suppose to be an old school wraith. We will see when I get them all sorted out.

All these pictures are making me want to get one. I've always liked the spawn and it would look sweet next to my Cherokee wroncho. Do wronchos count as wraiths? haha
