I have an Axial SCX10 Deadbolt so it has the 12" wheelbase. Can I convert it to a 12.3 wheelbase by just using Axial AX30550 Aluminum 12.3" Wheel Base Links Set or is there more to it than that? Thanks for your help in advance.
Yes can run all wheelbase on scx10 chassis. One thing to keep in mind is going to a longer wheelbase may change the offset of the wheels and wheelwells of the body

The disadvantage of running a longer or shorter wheelbase then your body is gonna be 1. Tire rub, which can affect a rig quite a bit if its severe enough. 2. Not scale looking. If your gonna run a body thats in the area of 12.3" then you will be fine. Most link kits are also made to have a 4link front truss but you should have gotten with your rig in the extra parts bag
No they don't, they change the link length.
There's only 1 link mounting location on the chassis & skid & only 1 on the axles for the lowers & 2 different for the uppers.
OP as everyone else said if you want different wheelbase just change the links. Just check driveshaft length though.
One more clarification. Wheelbase and offset are two different things and completely unrelated. Wheelbase is the distance from front axle centerline to rear axle centerline. As altd896 noted, to adjust wheelbase, all you need to do is change the length of your links and, in some cases, driveshafts. Mock the new body up first to figure out how far to move each axle so that each axle is centered in the wheel wells of the new body (it's possible that you may need to move only one axle).
Offset refers to where the centerline of the wheel is located relative to the pin and hex, which affects the track (width from wheel to wheel across the axle). Negative offset means that the centerline of the wheel sits inside the pin/hub and thus results in a narrower track than positive offset. Choosing the right offset can be important because, depending on the body and tires, it can make the difference between tires rubbing fenders and/or steering links. Some wheels use the Vanquish SLW hub system to allow you to vary the offset without changing the wheel. And you can get hexes of varying widths to adjust track, as well.
As far as performance is concerned, all else equal, a shorter wheelbase will tighten your turning radius a bit and be less likely to get hung up on your center skid. A narrower track will be less likely to hang up on your axles but a bit more prone to rolling over on side hills. If you don't plan to comp, you're not likely to notice much of a difference between 12" and 12.3". And you can always compensate with other changes to your setup or, more importantly, by adjusting your driving style and selection of lines to your rig's strengths and weaknesses.

Yes, the Axial TR link set has everything you need to convert to 12.3" as well as the instructions on how to do it and I believe the option of using 3-link or 4-ling uppers. It also includes the aluminum steering links.
