I might upgrade to 3s lipo in the future to increase wheel speed.

Loads of torque and speed, works like an outrunner.

And i use a Turnigy esc.

Works very well, easy to setup.

I use 2s lipo 1800mah. And just ordered 4 on 2200mah from hobbyking. With 1800mah i get 40mins of fun..

My gearing is 23t pinion and 76t spur from traxxas, and i also use a slipper from my Slash.

My servo is a Hitech 5645mg.

Thanks to everyone who has replied so far, and please keep the info coming!

I have read through most of the scx10 forum since becoming interested in these trucks, but was never able to get an undertsanding of what was most popular in the power department because there are just so many combos you can set these up with. It's interesting to see what everyone uses and hopefully the info will benefit us all in some way.

As far as just batteries go, as of this post, we have 24 setups posted:

3S Li-Po - 11
2S Li-Po - 6
Unspecified cell count Li-Po - 2
7C Ni-MH - 1
6C Ni-MH - 4

So a little bit of everything, but Li-Po outnumbering Ni-MH by a count of 19-5 and 3S being the most popular.

Lipo batteries will by far be your better option. The power to weight/size ratio is just unbeatable.
