What did you do to you SCX-10 today?

same thing just happened to me!:x Just installed some strc c hubs and axial cvds and put it back together. steering has improved some and I guess I will see how these cheapo hubs last. This was the only thing to date besides stripping my transmission case that has failed me on my truck aswell.

Haha...I stripped my trans gears a month ago!!!

Installed an RC4WD CMS and panhard today...I thought long and hard about making one myself and using the four link, but I liked the idea of how RC4WD has already engineered all the components to a way where I don't have to think to get the same effects.

and after this picture I swapped out the bent heim on the drag link for a straight one and also gave the shocks a little more pre-load due to the weight of the servo up front.

Well it wasn't today but after crawling at one of the most epic places in the western states I realized my G6 JK turned Unlimited JK is way too light and needs some serious suspension tuning. I also need to figure out foams that don't move on the rims. The front foams slide into the tie rod. Here she is

My Jeep TJ was much more fun to drive. It's a hodgepodge of parts, SCX shortened frame, tranny, wheels and shocks. TLT axles and a New Bright body.

Put on a RC4WD fairlead, now I'm trouble shooting my cheap chinese winch.

Put on a $7 HPI SB-5 servo. So far so good.

Finally got my mounts made for my dual batteries. I'm not really liking them that high. But they're not really any higher than when I had them on the frame rails.

One day I'll clean up the wiring...

Only a couple small things left to go before I can really call this build done, but the full on thrashings are about to start nonetheless.

I put the BFGs back on and it makes this truck look so much better. Then also decided to make a little RTI ramp. I gotta finish it by getting some sort of fencing for the middle and grinding down all my welds smooth....

Tried saddle packs for the first time on the G6, amazing the improvement in overall climbing ability (picture before the final install).

Installed the tallest gears I could find in my parts box to get some ridiculous wheelspeed and attempted to destroy an old set of X-Locks, spinning them through gravel on up some sandstone and granite chunks. Failed! but, I did get the motor hot enough that the heat transferred into the spur gear! I'm proud of that.

I pulled mine apart to figure out how I am going to fit the motor AND be able to run a full interior on the build I'm starting. It's going to be interesting, probably going to build a mount similar to the GCM because I have a feeling their's will not work since mine is the TCS X-Trail chassis.

Got my new (used) 1.55 Mud Thrashers in right before I left for work then got them mounted up to my 1.9 wagon wheels when I got home.

Ordered another roller/slider chassis (only did it because I sold my on road car on eBay) because I know I will have a lot of down time with this new build so I want to be able to keep driving something. Plus my wife mentioned wanting to have one of her own AND my 7 year old daughter wants one too so I'll keep them both happy with this for a while.

And because everyone likes pics I have the wheels and tires. The new build will be a Class 1 with the Tamiya Ford F350 and I am building it like all the bro-dozers running around where I live. These will fit absolutely perfectly into the wheel wells on the body, might even be able to get a little tuck if I find narrower axles.

That's why we don't run gear covers. That spinning pinion gear will shed a lot of heat

Had to lose my Honcho's windows...

The windows and windshield were so marred up from roll-over's
I couldn't even see that Willy's or an interior were in there

so I cut (dremel) the windows out.

I left a little extra material on the inner perimeters
to hopefully garner a little more strength/durability.
Guess I won't know if that helped... until I know !?

Now I need to work on building a faux interior roll cage
to give it a more finished look 8)

and then...

installed a new windshield...

cut it from this...
