What did you do to you SCX-10 today?

Got my body painted, my power plant in and drove it around the house for the first time! Popped an axial 55t turn in it. Picked up a brand new roller without a body for 200 on ebay.

P.S. anyone know how to become a sanctioned referee for events? we are in need of one here for a local track.

Thats a hell of an idea shift, only thing is I have the tough armor rear bumper and its so simple to swing the spare out.. I was going to try maybe a battery tray or something more discrete with velcro tape on that amd the shell for easy peel off action.. I just don't know...

I used some extra body posts, random plastic pieces that fit over posts, and brake line left over from making links. Screwed the brake line to the random piece and slide that over the post. Had to trim off the "nub" on the body post. Top is screwed to the cage, so four clips and the whole thing comes off.

What keeps them from spinning around on the posts?I mean there just under the "nub" and sitting on a pin. Is there anything that keeps them from turning? And how do you keep them from flopping back and forth? There's no bracing between the two uprights.Just a screw on the lower part of the upright. That would let it turn on that screw and move a lot.So when you put the body on. Do both "posts" move a lot back and forth from left and right?

Finished and mounted my lr3 body. Now just waiting on resistors and some LEDs. I have time to run it tomorrow, which will be fun :)

Yeahhh I finally figured out how to keep the JK shell on the truck and still take the body off without any trouble!!

For those who have an aftermarket bumper of any sort or dont use the spare tire hanger, drill a.hole center of the back window and use that to hold your rear! And the front you simply attach the shell on the front verticle colums only on the top akd attach the windshield to the bottom hole on the same column. Now I used ankle wrap tape for my hinge system and it works and looks alright with awesome adhesion to the body!

Then attached an arm to the cage to prop it up using an ole dingo alloy link and a rod end without the pivot ball in it.

This setup is the best way IMO to rig it up to open, stay securely attached and get the body off with ease! Only took 2 hours for the idea to surface and maybe 40m actual work time.

Probably Sent Sitting On The Toilet...

T I N Y here is a better picture. The long posts will move side to side when not on the body. When on the body they go thru the main body and the hardtop, so it's solid. The screw in the short post holds the long post from spinning around or falling down. And the body kinda sits on top of the short posts. Hope that explains it better.

Traded my beloved 2dr JK "the goat" the other day for something I've been wanting for a longg while... a wraith with some scx10 axles under it"thumbsup""thumbsup" the chassis should be in by Monday n when it's in it'll be getting a COMPLETE makeover:D

Can't wait to get started on it!

Despite 15cm of snow, got the inaugural 1st run with the new setup (new body, wheels/tires, winch, you name it) :) .

Broke the improv batt mount though. Time for epoxy!

I created a new course in my backyard ( still not finished yet ) and had 89rotary come over and test it out with me. The course is great lots of lines from easy to hard , offcamber areas , areas that will let you carry a wheel in the air ..... But after seeing ripsaws against my rock crushers in action I ordered another set of ripsaws for my scx10

My holmes 13t crawlmaster didnt last too long with my driving style, so I decided a roc412 was what I needed. In the 3100 flavor. Almost got it all mounted, cant wait to test it out

After the many thousands of leaves I must have driven over one finally found its way into my motor!

IS IT AUGUST YET???

Did some trading today and got her some new shoes. Traded away my 1.9 Rok Lox with RC4WD steel wheels I had weathered (and posted earlier in this thread) a set of 1.9 RC4WD Mud Thrasher tires and a Traxxas 2.4 radio. I feel like I came out ahead on this deal.

Got home and asked the wife which wheels and she liked the green so I installed them, they are the Axial 8 hole 2.2 beadlocks and Proline Hammers tires. They don't have foams (I don't have any 2.2 foams) in them but are air tight and actually support the truck nice and drive great but I will need to trim the body or lift it a touch to make it clear without rubbing.

Second set of wheels, not sure what they are, with Losi Rock Claws weighted 2.75 oz in front. Also got some Axial Rock Lizards (were mounted to these wheels before I swapped them over) that I will be selling soon.

Also got a pretty good condition Bronco body with some scale accessories in the back.

Two sleeping bags, a tarp, rope, fire extinguisher and cooler.

4-linked the front axle, made custom links for the uppers. Got my new winch mounted, and finally all wired up. ( After having to buy new batteries for the remote, even tho it's new)

Got some pit bull tires on axial beadlocks and a new steering link because tomorrow is KOH for our club. Don't remember who makes the steering link but it's flat and thin. Next week I got a vanquish link kit coming in wth 4 link conversion.

Putting in the 55t motor and going to get the parts to make upper links for the rubicon if I can find the length, I might just measure them.
