Just finished up my new Cherokee body! Started out as a Deadbolt about a month ago.

First body I've painted, pretty happy with the results and learned a lot for next time. I just started mocking up an interior with cardboard too, as well as some experimental wheel arches.

First real RC car and I'm having a blast so far. Made this little stencil for an Altoids container to add some accessories. Tool box or subwoofer, whichever!

More to come soon!

Got my electronics installed and drove the chassis around. I need to take the time to complete the body. It's painted and decaled. Just need to figure out how to mount it without putting holes in it. Anyone use magnets.

I moved more rocks trying to get a good course setup. Most of the rocks I have are flagstone so getting them setup in a way that is not boring is tricky. I do sometimes pick up a big rock or chunk of wood if I see them in the woods. I have a couple spots that my SCX-10 just cant make it up at all so I need to arrange it better.

As far as the SCX-10 itself, I relocated my BEC into the electronics box, removed my power switch and soldered the wires, mirrored the trans, and put on some Losi crawler shocks ($40 new on ebay). They are too long and make it really tipsy. I am going to try a few things with a lift/lowering kit to see if I can get the shocks in a position to help further eliminate torque twist and lower the ride height before I take them apart and install fuel tubing to limit the travel.

Me and the wife went for a walk in the Alberta bad lands. It was the first run ever for the purple jeep. It did awesome took a bit of battle damage but I think it was more to do with loose scerws and not double checking.

i rebuilt my driveshaft, we have no local suppliers and wanted it fixed now. i broke the pin and lost the cross shaft. so i used a 1/16 drill bit for the pin and spring pin (i dont know the size it fit then end of the driveshaft perfectly) for the cross shaft. both are hardened steel so they should last a long time

i drilled the pin with 1/16 bit then cut to length and also cut the end of the drill bit to length

and here's the final product i'm sure it will out last the stock pins and be much stronger
