Virginia RC Off Roaders - VARCOR

sweet, right on "thumbsup"

The letters on the jeep

You guessed it. Now you can read the website on the Jeep. Hopefully it will come out on the shirts.

I'm not sure if I am going to use the green or the black lettering now. I've been thinking about it and I like the green, for the shirts at least. I think it will stand out more. But for the stickers, the colors may not work. I'm going to try and go by tonight to find out how much it's going to cost from the T-shirt place near my way. Going to try and do white shirts with black logo and black/green lettering, and black shirts with white logo and white/green lettering.

Oh yeah, what do you guys think of Calvin with a pistol radio?

Ok, so after reading up on Bill Watterson and the licensing of Calvin, I decided to use a different face. This should prevent any possible issues. So here are the newest logos.

So the new kid didn't look as happy as Calvin. I'm thinking that he better be happy cuz not only is he RC crawling but he's on a VARCOR logo"thumbsup", so I gave him a smile.

What font did you use? I did this but got tired of trying all the fonts. I wish they had a preview by each font type.

T-Shirts

Here are some pics of the shirts I had made today. I had one made for Zach in black and a couple for myself, one black and one white. I'll bring these Saturday for you all to see in person. As far as the pricing, to do front small and back large was $29.99. To do just the back large is $24.99, however, if I order more than 10, it would be $5.00 off a shirt and if you provide your own T-Shirt, another $5.00 off. These came out very good, but the boy in the white logo was not as nice as the black logo because of how they reversed the colors, I can fix it so that it looks like the black one for next time. I know these prices may be high so I'll probably continue to shop around, I just needed to have something to present to Zach and for everyone to get an idea of what they will look like.

Anyway, here they are.

Hi

So do you guy's have a regular meet anywhere?

I live in the Herndon/Reston area and have been bashing around with a Savage since they originally came out. Just ordered the Axial AX10 for my first crawler build.

Ya check this out
http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/showthread.php?t=94810 This will be a regular meeting place. We also would like to check out Great Falls in VA. In the spring we will have a comp/GTG. Check out the CKRC build for your axial. it will improve it drastically. Also weight the front tires. Keep an eye out here in the GTG thread for VARCOR events.
Welcome to the forum."thumbsup"

Thanks for the info, have checked out the CKRC build, unfortunately they don't have the stage 2 kit in stock at the moment, so I will have to wait on that. Some other areas on the VA side are Difficult Run and Scotts Run (depending on the level of the Potomac!)

It was good to meet you all on saturday :D

Zach had a blast, and looks like we are going to try to make this a family thing. That being said, I have already started working on getting us materials brought out to the house to set up a fast track and a rock crawling course :D

We have plenty of room to put a huge track out here, and it would be great to have some input from some of you guys and maybe some help building them :)

This will give us another place for us all to meet up and maybe hold some events at.

My email is rudezuk@yahoo.com email me if you are interested and we can get things rolling.

So far I can get pretty much as much dirt as we need, a friend of mine will bring over 5-6 yards of dirt at a time and we have about 4-5 yards of broken concrete to start building with too.
