viper's creeper build

no thats probably not a good thing venomcrawlerdud could possibly come apart on ya .

well i finished putting the creeper back together got all the new bearings installed ( thanks avid ) got the new xvd's installed ( thanks rc4wd for making more of these ) also got the new chassis installed as seen in the above pics ( thanks dinky r/c for a quality product ) . i will get pics up soon of the new creeper . i need to get out and test it once the snow melts off and i can get to some rocks without sloshing through 6" of mud  if it works the way it is i have massive ground clearance so we will see "thumbsup"

okay first test run is over ............... to tall ..................

anybody got a set of 90mm shocks they want to get rid of ?

well not that i want to get rid of mine. im running the pro-line powerstroke scaler shock. they are 90mm or 95 if you change the rod ends. they work great. im very happy with them. they are just a real pita to bleed...i was quoted $30 from my lhs. which is cheaper than alot of online retailers. they are also a smaller diamater shock body, which worked great with my limited space of the chassis and steering that im running.

much better with the new shocks and the new chassis is working well , i went to one of our local comp spots and ran some of the lines that i had problems with or couldn't pull off at all and i pulled off almost all of them one is almost impossible to get because of an undercut that is almost exactly as tall as a rover tire . our first comp of the year is this saturday so now i just have to remember how to drive  and i will post some pics of the new setup maybe tomorrow and pics of the comp on sat

alright creepers this year is starting off well , we ran our first comp sat and i finished 2nd in sportsman  i am quite happy with the new changes to my creeper . now for some pics and if i can a link to one of our new guys videos of the comp

i got a question for you viper, how is your steering setup? is it stock or have you done something to it?
well it is basically like the stock setup i made a new connecting link because the venom rod ends were binding up bad ( ball didn't want to rotate ) so i made a new one had to trim the ends to allow full turning then i bent it in the center to clear the center of the axle case i reused one of the old upper links as a draglink and now my steering is nice and smooth "thumbsup"

is that chassis still available, is the creeper skid an option? i love the way it looks and how well the VW body fits it!"thumbsup" ive have 1 of those bodies sitting here in the bag, but dont think it will suck down that low in the stock chassis....

yes the chassis is availible , i'm not sure how much it would be because you don't need the skidplate or the chassis braces that it comes with . the designer of the chassis is looking at making a direct fit version for the creeper ( i made adaptor plates for mine as it is the first creeper to be used in this chassis ) i will get a link for the chassis maker he is a good guy tell him i sent you and that it is for a creeper

hope this link works
