Venture SBK - Scale Builder Kit

Is anyone els3 not surprised that the kit is again delayed? Any bets on real release date? I'm figuring Christmas time would be about right. I'd like to try a venture kit, but in the meantime the market is basically flooded with other attainable options.

From what I have been told the kits were shipped on the slow boat from China :lmao: which happened to Jan24. The containers then need to sit in customs for who knows how long. Then they need to load on to wheels so that they can start their trip to the distribution centers. From there to all outlets for sale. So by my best guess Christmas sounds about right :lmao:
Unless you are on HPIs important person list then you have yours in hand already. I read on their Farcebook page the RC Car Driver got a kit. Seriously people are patiently waiting but growing tired of waiting and HPI turns around and hands out kits to influence people. Stop the influence and let the average Joe get their hands on them. After we are the ones that are going to support the same platform not some magazine slappy

So weak of HPI!

I ordered one and made some build plans already. I had the original HPI Venture but the complete lack of parts and aftermarket for that made me lose interest.

HPI not fulfilling their delivery date makes ALL dealers look bad and everyone who pre-ordered unhappy.

They had a few media samples and those went to hemistorm, rc car action, rc driver, etc which is totally fine.

They only one that will give you the honest truth out the that bunch is Hemistorm "thumbsup"

All the others are complete waste of times. Just put them in the hands of the actual people and let them review.

I hope HPI is reading these, and I hope they do something special for those who have ordered these kits. I get to enjoy the luxury of having bought the RTR around a year ago, and have spent a bunch of time getting it built.

But I'd be mad heated if I had ordered the SBK and was waiting on it. Well, I probably wouldn't be too angry. I'd just go buy any one of the other awesome scale crawler kits that are IN STOCK at hobby shops and I could have in my hands today. Let's see...

Axial, GMade, Traxxas...

I really like the Venture, and don't want to see it left behind as other models get all of the attention from the aftermarket, but HPI appears to be trying hard to doom this kit to obscurity.

Please, HPI, do something to reward your customers for their patience. You've made a rad kit, now please back it up with excellent service.

I work at a hobby shop here in Sweden. So far our supplier of HPI states "expected 26th of February". But I expect that it will be moved forward as well.

I just got a message from the dealer I pre ordered from and he has been told by HPi that kits should be with them tomorrow (Thursday), so possibly the dealers will have them Friday. This is UK, so don't know if the same applies to the USA or other areas.

I'm not holding my breath though.

They killin' me with this wait. I haven't just been waiting 6 months for this kit, I've been waiting 2.5 years for this kit. When they announced the RTR, a future kit was mentioned. That's how long I've been waiting.

I built a crawler track 2 years ago and although my old CR-01 handles it just fine, I built it with a Venture in mind.

I've had a Hilux body waiting for it for 2 years. It's kinda dusty now.

To say I've been patient would be an understatement. My damn hair has turned grey waiting on this thing.

I'm surprised it's taking so long to get on sale in the USA. Bur after getting mine last week, all I can say is it's worth the wait. I am very impressed with the quality of this kit. Apart from a couple of minor faults, I can't complain much. The main gripe is the print in the manual is so small it's hard for me to read.

You could probably get one from the UK quicker. Don't know how much delivery would cost though.

Damn, do we really have to resort to importing our own kits.

I'm gonna try to forget that I've got one on order and maybe it will surprise me when it arrives.
