Shapeways order CONFIRMED! 8)

Shapeways must be putting in some serious work in processing speed because the order that I placed a couple weeks ago shipped in like 3 or 4 days. Not too long ago, everything took at least a week before shipping.

You should have this magical grill before you know it. "thumbsup"

you're right, its still under review, but its ORDERED! lol but hopefully i get some of that magic you experienced and it gets out quick! *the website says estimated ship date 19 April, so... fingers crossed!
i got an email confirmation "thanks for ordering blah blah blah start waiting..."
Pawel warned me of this, and if the design gets kicked back he will re-design and i can re-order. He has truly been amazing to work with. brilliant guy and extremely nice!

my confirmation email:
Thanks for your order!
Before we start manufacturing your product(s), our 3D printing experts will manually review the designs. Given the complex nature of 3D printing, we sometimes catch designs that are too fragile to create. If this happens with any item in your order, we will notify you and you will not have to pay for it.
You'll be able to view the status of your payment on your Order Status Page <https://www.shapeways.com/checkout/*internet gibberish* .
Once we get the green light, we'll create your product(s) using the highest quality 3D printers. When it ships, you'll receive an email with tracking information.

Order #2209941 contains:

1x Grill for Jconcepts Ford F150 <https://www.shapeways.com/product/*internet gibberish*> in Black Strong & Flexible
1x Bumper for Jconcepts Ford F150 <https://www.shapeways.com/product/*internet gibberish*> in Black Strong & Flexible
1x Light lenses for Ford F150 <https://www.shapeways.com/product/*internet gibberish*> in Frosted Extreme Detail
1x RCN087 Mirrors for Ford F150 79 P-L <https://www.shapeways.com/product/*internet gibberish*> in Black Strong & Flexible

Bit of bleed through from a coat of bedliner underneath. Woops. Gonna need to cover that with something later ;)

Oh and the RC Nerds front bumper and light lenses are printing right now, grill and mirrors have passed inspection and ready to print!

Hey Chris, I think I will have 3 or 4 2200 3s batteries for you guys to use at the "Fire". All new. ;-) Also building a new climbing board to test tires and torque twist. It has simulated rocks, so not just a flat elevation board.

Not crawler related but I was going to order some stuff from Shapeways. Was thinking of doing a laydown transmission setup for a B5 as it was one of my best handling off road buggies ever even over my B6 I had. Thought it was funny that your ordering crawler parts from the same place,:ror:

Man shapeways is rad for all KINDS of stuff! Not just buggies or crawlers. I have considered stuff like custom heads and weapons for my action figures, you can even find cool shaped hooks to hang your hats or whatever lol
I have stalked shapeways for tons of stuff for years, im super excited to actually GET something finally!

Ernie, thanks for the loaner packs! I was going to get myself a couple spares because all i have is a huge 4000mah 3s for the ascender lol i should get a couple 2s packs for my sons barrage though, poor guy has been trucking on the rtr nimh pack for a year. Might be why the motor hasnt fried yet though lol

Now for that black bleed through on the bumper...

Remember i said i had something in mind to cover it up?

Found an old link here for a license plate creator!

Hey? Any ETA on the TT-02 Body and other assorted Parts?? ;-) :)

Yeah i should have put a "feels warning" disclaimsr before the pic.
I have a plan for the front one, involves magnets and a fairlead ;)

Been debating on what to do about the side trim... styrene? Decals are meh.

But

Decals are better than nothing i suppose...
Also filled in some body lines with a .5mm pen that i didnt realize would smudge :(
But its progress!

Hey! That looks pretty good. I keep forgetting about the door creases and Body lines....
I've been wanting to get one of those Molotow Cocktail Chrome Pens. :-P How much was it?
Dad's Truck is really looking good Chris!!

I think the pen was 13 bucks at hobby lobby? Sooo... a bit more than a sharpie lol

Meanwhile, at the in laws...
