Traxxas Summit LT. It will be in the March issue of RC Car Action. It crawls and bashes like a champ. It really is a blast. Pro-Line Super Swampers 2.2's are the perfect dual role tires.

Change it back to white that green is hideous. Least this one has decent tires and lights

Thanks for sharing your opinion on the color. I like the green. The stock Summit comes in white, blue, red and yellow. I like the red, but it's over done in my opinion. The green is staying.

I like mine better...

Cool truck. Good proportions. What's under the body? (Edit: I can see it better now that I'm not on my phone). My truck isn't a scale build. My goal was to build a factory looking 2.2 Summit with all the functions of the much bigger MT-sized Summit.

And, yes I most certainly stole your idea...even though I don't recall ever seeing it before.

Looks good, Ive thought of doing that myself if the money ever exists for me to do so. It does need a wider body to really look right though.

Under the shell is a X-Trail chassis with an extended WB. I do like the tires and wheels on that Traxxas truck, might have to get a set of those to go under my truck.

In the picture I have an XL-5 with a 23T motor. That combo does pretty well, but not having a drag-brake and the double-clutch reverse gets annoying. Right now I am trying a Rooster Crawler and a 45T motor, I just need to find a way to waterproof the Rooster.

Still haven't figured out the crawler thing huh? :lmao:

Truck looks cool Matt, maybe those smaller tires will help keep the summit together better. I had a blast with the one I had, the 2 speed, the locking diffs, all great, I just couldn't keep it together for the life of me.

Thanks, Jason.

We admittingly don't hear too much about the Summit from readers, but that's the first I've heard of durability issues. We beat the bag out of our test samples with no issues.

I'm sure the smaller tires will help. It's like going from 44's to 31's. So far, it's held up fine. I've jumped it, crawled with it, done hill climbs--so far so good. Time will tell. I do try to avoid shifting on the fly.

I do plan to build a true scale crawler with a Summit transmission. Maybe a mud truck.

I've got a summit trans in an SCX-10, I love it.

axle shafts, and diff outputs were what I couldn't keep together in my summit.
