ToyZuki's SCX10.2

COol. I'll just rig up a BWD chassis with a SCX 10 2 tranny and slap a body on it, No different apparently :)

Nationals here I COME!! :)

EDIT: Disclaimer, I wouldn't show up to any event thinking I could get away with that .. The question has to be asked however, Where is the line drawn?

Draw what line? Do you see another vendor offering a chassis with cms and t case built into the build? If you don't like it, don't buy it, but don't ruin everyone else's fun.

let see what so great about your crawler...

I tried pushing them in from the top, the back, the front, all for lower link spots are the same, .5-1mm too small. I started marring up the area and decided to stop and order the correct width balls. 2742 balls are on the way and the one I had to test with fit with no slop. Better that than remove too much material which, again, I'm trying to avoid grinding on a brand new $200 chassis to get hardware to fit.

You got it.

Just trying to be realistic on how far we are going to stretch this whole idea of scale..

When class 2 trucks have borderline sporty chassis I think may be a place to start asking questions tho.

<3 your stuff. However people should be allowed to have opinions even if they differ from the general populus. Companies also should be able to take criticism in addition to the compliments.. Its how we hammer out details, and get better.

I really did not mean any disrespect.

None taken. I just don't see my chassis pushing anywhere near a sporty look. I even flattened out the lower section of this one to bring the look of a level skid back. I understand that boundaries need to be set though.

I like the look of this chassis overall more than the original. you can barley tell its angled unless you look close.

I like these kind of chassis as it give you more room to do seats and a driver to make it more "scale", keep up the good work.

As a fellow vendor on Rcc with a chassis of my own, I have to say Toyzuki knocked it out of the park with this complete package, you here some guys saying these are sportys with scale bodies and you can take it how you like, bit the sportys have advanced so much that these are no at all in same class, it's part of the industry, things will continue to advance and become more competitive, that's what makes it so much fun, grown men playing with toy trucks and some kids. Great job on this Toyzuki.

Look at either of my toyzukis and you can't tell it has an angled skid without flipping it over. Especially the new one. I'm not sure what everyones issue is.

Finally got her to roller status this morning. Wheelbase is sitting right at 11 and 3/8 inches. I was shooting for 11 even so I'm happy. All the links, steering, and suspension went together without any major issues and everything works very smoothly with no binding or contact anywhere. Someone asked how close the lower links came to the motor when fully compressed. I'm running an oversized 550 Holmes Crawlmaster Pro and there's no contact anywhere. The lower links actually do a great job of protecting the motor from rocks. I really like all of the suspension geometry tuning options built in. Next up is getting my JK hardbody on so I can dial in the wheelbase and get driveshafts installed. I'm really trying to go super scale on this one so I may forego my usual WBHD or Maxx shafts and give LURC or SSD steel driveshafts a try. More to come.
