The Official Road Bike/Cycling Thread

rupps and me got some stories about rollers in the living room. You can actually bunny hop of em to the floor and nothing happens. Unfortunately. :ror:

I think I was bunny hopping while on em. That was tough.

I can't imagine any other indoor training tool than a set of rollers.

Kickr bike trainer with trainer road and suferfest for me yo. Have not touched the rollers since I got that set up more than a year ago.

Melatonin should not be used for more than a couple days in a row

You saying you want the rollers? I will drop them off if so. Even made a resistance unit for them...

I only resort to it when I'm really struggling with my insomnia. By routine, I meant sleep / wake routine since I've changed schedules and it's got me screwed up.

I'm a long time lurker of this thread. You guys have nice bikes! mine sucks, I should get some upgrades...

I just use it because I hate cardio but I need cardio for racing MX. Riding my bike makes cardio fun and I get to see the city from a side I normally never would. I'm picking up a Tech Mag 3 this weekend so I can start riding before all the snow melts.

Nate, I think it was the lower end wheels more than anything else, but yes, towards the end of the year (having ridden all season, and after taking up SS riding), I could tell a big difference and had some minor issues.

Also, if you come off a set of rollers you're not going rocketing across the room. That's blown way our or proportion, but you will fall over though.

I'll have to try that cream. I generally take melatonin but I've been slacking on that also. I just need to back into my routine and I should be OK.

Hmmm unless the spoke tension is too low or their racer light 140 lb rider weight limit wheels they should not flex that much.

Wow, I didn't know that! lol :lmao::lmao::lmao:

Yes, not for regular use.

Heck yeah. I need to start doing something. :ror:

Yes. Yes you do. Get off the couch. :lmao:

Best bike is the one you ride all the time. I know a couple peeps who have lots of money and upgrades in their bikes and they don't hardly ever ride if at all.

I dunno know Nate, I'm a pretty big guy for a cyclist (I was about 210lbs then), but maybe my hubs needed adjusted or something, who knows.

I had some goodies waiting on me when I got home. Trying a Selle SMP seat on the advice of a friend, and picked up some sidi shoes on clearance the other day. If they're as comfy as my Sidi moto boots, I'll love 'em.
