The next Scale 4x4 Event in Augusta Georgia

2.2 comp, 2.2 scale, 1.9 scale, and one big *** boat"thumbsup"

Everybody get your led's mounted for some night time runnin'.:) Best damn part of the last gtg.

For sure! That was my favorite part too, even though I was the guy in the back with no lights!

Ill have them mounted this time. Oh yes I will.

Thinking of mounting Two Green Lasers:twisted: Should be a great event. I'm not able to bring the lab as it's being used for teacher training:-(

I hate waiting,
P

Here's a spot to check lake levels: http://clarkshill.uslakes.info/levelcal.asp

I'll be a Top Gun in Lakeland, FL May 2nd-6th, Green River Crawlfest in Rochester, KY on May 19th, then it's prep time for Pointes West. "thumbsup"

Scattman,

With any luck there will be at least two big gas boats ripping it up. I have four electric boats but none of them compare to the gasser. If the repair parts arrive in time I'll have mine on the water.

Also, since I'll be moving in July/August, I'll likely have items for sale over the weekend.

Oh yeah guys dont forget to get a rally car up and running. Its going to be a just run for fun type deal but gotta keep the power plant 17T and under. Maybe Roy can keep up going for comps there.

The only problem with me putting on comps at Pointes West is that
it is a military recreation area.Only military/ex-military can use that rec.area or bring friends.I am not military/ex-military.So after Jason
moves to his new job,I want be able to go there.Might be able to inthe off season when no one is at the gate. But will need military ID to reserve
pavillion for comps.I will see what I can come up with.I don'tsee why we can't use the rec.area.Our tax dollars pays for it.

Nevermind; You know what I meant. 8)

Thanks for the warning about the planes. "thumbsup"

JIA
Leave the planes at home, next month!

I have a question about the Rules. Specifically on scale vehicle specs.
I saw a couple versions being disscused, and I wasn't sure if any of them were made "Official". I thought I saw where something the frame must extend over the axle , but now I can't find it again. I am sbout to start that portion of my build, so could someone please post the current info up"thumbsup"

I can't believe how dead this thread is:roll: The event is only weeks away and people are not event posting about the rigs they are buidling.

Thanks to Jason and crew the event rocked last time round. I was even inspired to build a trailer just like my hero JIA;-)

I've attached a pic for your viewing pleasure.

There is some talk happening over at Scale 4x4 but it's been quiet too. I think everyone is getting their stuff up and running and testing set ups. There is a Rally trash talk thread that had some traffic.

Here ya go:
http://www.scale4x4rc.org/forums/showthread.php?t=9792

Here is the 1.9 rules real quick

1.9” Class – Modeled after typical street legal off-road vehicles
·Chassis must be OEM stock or custom ladder style that must extend over the axles. OEM suspension may be modified in any way. Construction material is not restricted.
·Tires are restricted to an overall outside diameter no greater than 4” and a width no greater than 1.75”. The tires must fit onto a standard 1.9” rim. Flywheels brand wheels and tires and 1/18 scale Nylint brand wheels and tires will be allowed.
·Must run a complete body, bumpers, fenders, doors & tailgates must be intact. Some fender trimming is allowed but the basic shape must be retained. A shortened or lengthened body is allowable. A tubed bed must have a functional bed area capable of carrying a full-size spare laid flat (rear fender and tailgate rules to not apply to tubed beds).
·No 4 wheel steer.
·No axle “dig”
·Wheelbase and width is limited only by your body, but it must fit within the body’s fender wells.
·Vehicles must be “run what ya brung.”
·Battery must be placed on or within the chassis.

hey there

I have a short question about winching and the RTI numbers.

In the 2.2 Scale course comp, underwhat condition can you use the winch? And how will it effect your score?

What is the angle of the ramp that we are basing this measurement on (a search shows ramp angles from 15 to 30 degrees)? And is the progress distanced measured allong the incline or along the flat surface?

I'll have a 1.9 FJ Cruiser, 2.2 King Bling WK tuber, Ralph, the FJ Bruiser, and possibly a couple of other rigs ready.

Everything listed above is ready except for the lights on the FJ.

BTW, I have a 30 degree RTI ramp in the trailer...had it with me last time and forgot to bring it.

Renoir, distance on the ramp should be measured on horizontal if I remember right.
