I put a smaller tire up on top tonight and added the gas cans to the back. I have the original jack that I might mount to the right of the gas cans.

It's a beautiful sunny morning so I took the Little Green Defender out for a little drive.

I put the white spoke wheels back on for now. The other DJ Crawler tires are way too soft. They fold over and the truck really pushes badly when turning. I'm going to pick up a set of firm foams and see if that works better?

Today I'm on afternoons and it will be driving around on the course out back of the shop having a little fun.

Been running the trails out behind my workplace. Haven't needed to make any upgrades to my Defender as it's pretty much maxed out. Aluminum axles are a future consideration but we'll see? I did switch the tires recently, the DJ Crawler MT tires were way too soft. Going to track down some firm foams and see if that improves things.

Almost over the edge!

Thanks Ynad. Those classic wheels are pretty nice. They are well made, they assembled easily and they add a good bit of weight down low.

Well, the Little Green Defender is going to undergo a big transformation this morning!

I picked up an Injora abs body for it. This isn't an exact replica but it's pretty obvious what it is.

I got all the parts sorted out and got right down to business.

I put the headlight buckets into the grill and snapped the grill into place.

The grill is held into place from behind by screwing the body mount into it.

Next I slapped the spare tire carrier into position. Not crazy about the license plate mount?

The spare tire carrier is also held in place by the body mount clip.

Nice. The Jeep-non-Jeep body looks great. There's a lot of detail in it for being a mini.

I've seen these bodies, but wasn't sure how good the detail and quality would be. From here it looks pretty good.

Next I started putting on all the scale parts.....door handles, mirrors, gas cap, wipers and all the other goodies.

All the scale bits snapped into place nicely but I put a small drop of CA glue on the tabs just to make sure they stayed in place.

The pictorial instructions weren't too bad if you have some rc building experience but the tail lights took a little figuring out. In the end I was victorious.

Off with the silly looking license plate bracket.

Thanks Brian. For the most part the quality, fit and finish of this body kit is pretty good. For $39 Canadian dollars I have no complaints.

I think I might call this the "No Jeep - Jeep". :lmao:

I popped the Defender body off and started mounting the bumpers.

I started with the back bumper.

New back bumper in place. It looks pretty bulky in this picture.

The front bumper was next to go.

The new front bumper fastened in place. Both bumpers mounted up nicely to the Injora carbon fiber frame rails.

I snapped the body into position. Gotta say I do like the looks of this "not a Jeep " body. The body clips are very stiff and getting the body into place is a little finicky. Hopefully it gets easier after doing it a few times.

I like the size of these classic wheels but I'm not crazy about the silver colour with the orange body. Also, there's a good chance the Defender will get revived in the near future.

I put on the stock TRX4M Defender tires and I like the looks of the black wheels and tires much better. They are a bit smaller than I'd prefer but they will do the trick for now.

I used a stock TRX4M Bronco tire for the spare tire. Hopefully I don't get heckled out on the trail because it doesn't match!!
